Azor's Gateway (B4T pt 2) flips Thaumatic Compass?

Not necessarily a bug, but asking for clarification: Azor's Gateway can cast Thaumatic Compass, which reads "At the end of your turn, if there are 8 or more gems of one of your Planeswalker's colors, transform this support."  But Azor's Gateway is colorless, so there are no gems of his color.  Doesn't this mean that Thaumatic Compass should never flip?  This is inconsistent with other instances of colored gems as they affect colorless PWs.

Based on my current information, Thaumatic Compass should now check all gems when being used by a colorless Planeswalker now, and this would be the intended behavior. There was an issue previously where this was not working for Karn, Scion of Urza, but it should be fixed now.

Is this not currently working for you when you play this card with a Colorless Planeswalker?

That explanation has been missing before now.  The only reference to colored gems/colorless PWs was in the 3.3 release notes:

    • When casting a card that destroys gems of the player's color, instead of zero gems, gems of a random color should now be destroyed, when the player is playing as a Colorless Planeswalker.
Singling out the destruction cards was one thing, but it didn't imply that colorless now means "random" in all cases of "your planeswalker colors".

Does this mean Thaumatic Compass is checking for a random color every time?  Do gem converters that reference "your planeswalker colors" also change to random colors?  Unfortunately I don't have any of the colorless PWs to check, which is why I was asking for clarification.  Thank you!

EDITED:  This seems to have been a persistent question on the inconsistencies of colorless PWs and "your PW colors" back in the day... see other links below from the bug forums, none of which indicate they were investigated/resolved.  Can you confirm the intended application of "your PW colors" for colorless PWs?
