This is brilliant moderation. "This is how we see you, Outersider".
That's a negative. I was merely replacing the profanity with a word that was comparable. This way the rule-breaking offense is removed from the comment, however the poster's original intent and meaning is still portrayed.

I've replaced profanity before with much milder terminologies only to be met with members upset that their tone of voice had been removed, so this is an attempt at finding a middle ground.

My choice of wording here is not indicative of any of our team's viewpoints or beliefs.

The moderation did not change the meaning of the statement and @starfall used rather advanced sarcasm with a lot of salt. The ugly part is that this is precisely describing how it feels like being on this end of the community. Someone insignificant.

But a warning is unnecessary. A simple correction by the mod is more than enough. The mod can  tell the user why he took such actions in a friendly manner. But a warning on top of that is over moderation and pretty offensive too. This is the easiest way to make you quit.
No forum member was affected in this case.
Insulting the company is to expected anyway.

For the record, it was merely a verbal warning that issued no points, and all warnings (both verbal and  ones issuing points) are always accompanied by a brief explanation.

Having said that though, let's please keep the thread on-topic. Thank you!
