How many players have quit your coalition recently?

    0. We haven't gotten any new members either.
I had to put in a help ticket because my coalition  has a lead that's on break, but we need to clean up the obvious non-players... Still waiting on it....

    6-9. We've lost a lot of players.
Many of the players I have seen leave within the last couple months have been due to crashes in events and the lack of new challenges.

It seems many feel that MTGPQ is on the downward slope. I feel like that my self sometimes, I really hope someone can turn it around.

I think this thread brings up an interesting nuance though. Did those players that left stop playing or did they decide to go to a different Coalition or play solo?

There's a variety of reasons why players might want to leave a Coalition, so this would be a very insightful poll if players could also include the reason why these players left; provided that the voters are aware of the reasons, of course.
I'm going to agree with Brigby -- this poll does not accurately address the sentiment of why someone is leaving the game. I have had a couple leave not because they are mad at the game, but because they have real life going on. We have not had any issues with replacing them.

My coalition has been taking it a bit lighter the past couple months, but that's more to preserve our culture and keep us together.

    TP9 is still steadily growing.
While it is true that a lot are leaving due to personal stuff, it is definitely also due to their frustrations with the game as a whole.

A bunch of my coalition-mates that are "on a break" are doing so because:

A:  The massive increase in loading times makes clearing nodes take significantly longer (I am dropping out of this weekend's Dragon War event for that very reason.  I will have a couple hours this weekend to play but that isn't enough when it takes over an hour to clear one refresh)

B:  Since the app will randomly crash so often leaderboards are now a reflection more of who got lucky with their issues instead of who has the best decks/strategy.  Since a large chunk of cards in the game are not useless and decks that run with no issue will cause a crash literally minutes later in another fight, it isn't worth it to put the time and effort into competing at a high level.

Basically, it appears to me (in a small sample size) that even players leaving for "real life" reasons are still leaving because of the myriad issues the game has.  There is much less motivation to "make it work" since the app doesn't really work at all.
Except you forget we almost always have a mass exodus at the beginning of May. Students have exams, people are preparing for summer vacations.

If you look back, mid spring is when we always have a large number of players leave.

The good news is like spring, new players are born.

There's a steady influx coming into Discord -- so many that I've turned off that notification -- and I see coalitions who are keeping the game fun and positive growing.

We are what we make the game for each other. It's been much less stable than this and we've stayed.
My team has never had a mass exodus, not even during the post-Hibernum, pre-Oktagon days. The last new coalition event was added to the game in July of 2018. That is quite a long time ago. Things that have been added since then include: Duel Decks, the Loop Prevention System, and Player Levels; all of which seem to have taken precedence over a new coalition event that would have taken a fraction of the time to develop. I appreciate the effort of Duel Decks, and believe it could be good, but they really need to change it to something other than 5 colors vs mono-green. The Loop Prevention System was just a total fiasco and honestly a very bad design, initially. Now, it is simply pointless and was a waste of development time. The Player Levels are also entirely pointless at this time. The new sets are not bad, but they are overshadowed by...let's just say a few broken cards from older sets. While it is very easy to say that new players are always born, it's not so easy to say that they will all stick around, or make up for the number of players quitting. I have no insight into how well the game is doing from a business perspective, and I doubt you do either. One thing is certain, my coalition has lost more players in the past few months than it has in the entire 3 years that it existed prior. I made this poll to see if it is happening elsewhere as well.
WOW, I don’t know how to quote only the last message written by @ZW2007-but it is fantastic. Bravo sir/madame

Since the game is working so smoothly and every decision made by oktagon has only raised the morale of the players and has been met with so much joy and happiness, the poll is definitely  indicating players who left their coalitions to join better ones, so that they can play even more.
Players don't necessarily leave Coalitions only to go to better / more active ones. Casual Coalitions do exist where players choose not to be competitive and merely play the occasional event here or there.

Understanding the reason behind a player's action is key to figuring out how to address their specific concerns.

    Adding to the list :
+1 player for the constant crashes and lack of new coalition events. Another top ten player who hasn't missed a single event in 1.5 years. This is not the usual fluctuation.
