10-20 worth of steam sale games so way too much.

Also, probably at least 20 times what I spent on Puzzle Quest 2 for the iPad way back...

When I used to enjoy this game, I spent quite a bit, but they had more sales going on so I could justify spending that much. I'm between 250 and 1k as well. The past couple months have been less enjoyable, but it's not because the game is any harder. I just feel like they're trying to see how far they can tighten the noose on us before we break.

I can't control how people spend their money, but I for one, have stopped giving a dime for 2 months, almost 3 now. Unless they polish up their act, and get better communication with us, the players, hey don't deserve another penny.

Main account is a pure F2P, but I did spend 25 bucks or so with my backup mobile account on roster and alliance slots for my main account's alliance, so I kinda count it towards my main account's cred as being in a full alliance definitely helps. I like earning covers more than buying anyway. The only cover I bought was Hood's 5th yellow - haven't got it since the purchase, and I kittying love having it.

I've spent $10 buying hp to expand my roster slots. I planned on spending $20 during the next sale, but with how frustrating this game has been lately, I'm not sure I'm going to be playing much longer.
  • $0, though I had some Steam credit that I plan to buy the DLCs on Steam if they're 66% off again.

    0$
I'd rather not Pay to Win.
Plus I see a lot of players with buyer's remorse, who were actually happy with the game until they decided to spend money on it.
  • $10 to get the hp to buy my way into the 5D family, and not a dime before or after. My roster is all hard work and luck, and I refuse to spend another dime on this game until they release Deadpool
  • I spend about $10 but that is only because i was given a $10 gift card for free.
  • More than 300$. I'm now fighting for a refund icon_lol.gif
  • I spent around $10 to get into an Alliance. At the time I was prepared to spend more but given the way the game has gone, I'm strictly F2P now.
  • If each character was different but you could buy different skins/costumes for them then I would have spent money... probably quite a lot but as it stands I have spent 0$.

But, as it is, I am not going to pay to expand my roster to include the same character over and over and I'm certainly not going to pay for heroic tokens as they are garbage. Even with the 10 pack reward for this season event I had 1 3* character, another dude from my alliance got only 1, another one got none.

At the cost of a small retail game for a 10 pack that gives you mostly unusable characters it is such poor value for money I simply won't pay anything into the game. Instead of buying 2 lots of 10 packs and getting 2... maybe 3 usable covers I spent my money on trials fusion and child of light. Both full games. Both much better value.

Pay to win? no thanks. Pay to customise? sure thing.
  • I spent zero and encourage everyone do the same -- due to "don't support incompetent developers" policy. That can be combined with evil/greedy.

What is their loss, I'm happy to pay for games that deserve it.
  • I spent 20 back in November than another 20 during the last sale.

I always support F2P gaming companies that provide me 100's of hours of entertainment.
  • I spent about $25 early on, mainly for roster spots, and another $5 a few months ago. I had been planning on throwing $5-10 per month since then, but since I don't think that a single week has gone by without them doing something to infuriate me, they've missed out on that income.

    $30. All for slots.
  • $0 so far, had been fully intending to spend some money, but with all of the recent mess I am not going to spend any money unless this game gets back to some semblance of fun (assuming I don't quit before then).
  • $65 between roster slots early on, getting a guaranteed Punisher for the Hulk event, and getting my last 2 spiderman blue covers.

That last purchase was made at the end of December I believe. Haven't dropped a dime since, they're continuing to do nothing to actually improve the game. Alliance chat was the one beneficial aspect to the changes they've implemented that didn't feel hamfisted, although forcing players to join alliances (and drop HP to increase said alliance sizes) in order to have a shot at third cover rewards is incredibly dirty.
  • Around $30 for roster slots and having some HP sitting around for shields. Not planning on spending more anytime soon.
  • I spent $10 on day 30 a month ago for roster slots. I was planning on spending $20-50 each subsequent month, but with all the recent changes to events making it so that having a better roster doesn't necessarily mean I'll perform better (it could actually hurt my progress if I level weaker tier characters first), I don't see the point. I don't want to support developers who think that alienating veteran players (or players who are progressing faster than the developers think they should be) and favoring new players is a good long-term decision.
