Sorry dav, as much as I would like to sign you up we are currently outside the 100 for season rank so for you it would actually be a downgrade. You may want to try find a more elite alliance
  • Thanks to all who applied! We are now stocked with new wolves and look forward to hitting those big rewards!
  • We're currently at #110 in Season 1, but we've climbed 6 positions in the last 12 hours. There's still the last PvP tournament running and the simulator to gather some more points. Are you interested in that Nick Fury cover? Then you can make the difference! Every point counts! Hit Krackadoom and the simulator today! Go Wolves!
  • We still expect our current members to get to our minimum of 500 for PvP so please if you haven't tried Krakadoom yet you may want to make a start. Season 1 isn't over yet and we are still within striking distance guys, lets do this!
  • I have changed our thread to a feedback thread so our members can let us know how they think season 1 went and we can get some good suggestions to make us stronger for season 2
  • Given the score of rank 98 (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8046) 197,000+. Each member should average about 9000+ to 10K per season. If our top players are doing an average of 12K, some members could go 8000 points. So, I would assume that 8,000 points can be our minimum requirement. What do you guys think?

Take note that season 1 got extended by a few days, so if season 2 does not extend, the average score is lower.
On another note, I think we should find a balance between pvp and pve. While wanting to get top individual prizes is totally fine, it would be best not to focus too much on one and neglect the other
  • Does anyone know the number of PvP events through the season? it might be easier to work out what scores make up the end of season scores if we have a number for that and add on a sim score

Having a balance is a good idea to get the most rewards possible I think too
  • Given 25 days of Season 2 duration, we should expect 10-11 tourneys, that could easily become 12-13 in case of overlap. In Season one, if I remember it right, there have been 12 tourneys, one of which during the extended time, so 11-12 tourneys for this season may be a good estimate. In terms of points, considering a baseline of 500 (seriously, anything less than that means that you're not even trying) for pvp and at least 1k for the simulator we could say that at the end of the season each one of us should have at least 6500-7000 points. Now that would mean about 140k points for the alliance that isn't even close to top 100 (last season had #100 at about 190k).

So now we're facing a dilemma: do we want to be competitive or not? If somehow we can manage to go up to at least 700 points each per tourney and 1500 for the simulator, that would mean 9k-10k points at the end of the season, so 180k-200k for the alliance. This COULD BE enough to get into top 100, bet we should at least expect a little increase in competitiveness for the top spots. And we're not even talking about PvE.

Let me ask: where do we want to go with the alliance? Hopping in just to get the free rewards will not work, because without the help of everyone of us we're going to constantly drop out of top 100, where the juicy prizes are. So, if you want those prizes, you have to help your alliance to earn them.

The future decisions we'll have to take may be unpopular. Changing this alliance in a competitive alliance means a daily effort, HP expenditures and probably stealing time to your sleep hours. If we otherwise go for the non-competitive way, well, honestly, I see no reason to be in an alliance. The daily rewards are a nice little bonus, but just that and nothing more. The rewards out of top 100 are simply not comparable to those for the top 100. At the moment being an alliance is the only way to get the full extent of rewards from an event, but we're not going to get them if we slack off.

So, as you may guess, my proposal is to at least TRY to be competitive. What do you guys think?
  • Thanks for the breakdown of how the scores add up together Kappei! I am with you 100% that we should be competitive, it was the reason for rebuilding in the first place after all. Getting those extra 3* covers are pretty much the whole idea of working together for the common goal and if we fall short of those then it means we have fallen short of being realistic about the future.

IAs alliances have gotten much more competitive lately, I don't think it is realistic to expect us to get top 10 finishes, but we are good enough to aim for top 50 if we really stretch ourselves. We absoulutly need to have goals for all of our members. I'm not saying you get Booted if you miss one goal, but 500 in PvP should not be difficult for anyone in our alliance. Heck, 700 is not a crazy number IMO. From my perspective, the choice between pve and PvP is easy when they are not crazy stingy with the points. PvE feels like you get more rewards for playing more. PvP feels like you can easily get hosed if you don't spend HP on sheilds at the right time regardless of how much you play.

Lately PvP has become a shield-hop fest, but 700 points are still an attainable goal. Getting to 500 takes almost no effort and these days a good 2* duo can be built without even trying. Also, since you're here, I expect you to have at least a decent, level-capped, 2* team.

Spending HP on shields have become a necessity on PvP, even to stay in top 50. Luckily a single shield at the 8 hour or 3 hour mark is an expense that is easily repaid by the tournament rewards. We should all have a good HP buffer (150 as a minimum, 3-400 as optimum) to cover any shielding need.
  • Personally, I would want the alliance to be at least competitive enough to get top 100 in all or most of the events. I don't really care about being top 50 or not (though it is a good bonus), but top 100 is a big difference from 101 and up. I'm not sure if top 100 in individual PVPs would automatically mean top 100 in season 2. The fury cover would be nice, but I don't think it would really matter unless they made him a required character at some point
  • I think we should aim for top 100 in individual pvp tournaments and pve events. This helps the alliance grow their rosters and not miss out on the new character.

Top 100 season finish is going to be tough.

I'm okay with 500 point minimum, assuming Spiderman nerf doesn't kill me. Even without tanking my mmr, I was able to get to 600 in Krakadoom. With tanking in the early season I can crack 900 easy, again assuming Spiderman nerf doesn't cripple me.

The problem is that 500 points minimum isn't enough anymore for a top 100 spot, be it on a single tourney or in the season as a whole.
