So, let's consider recent moves by oktagon
- Veteran players have been cheated out of experience points, and punished for being dedicated to the game, compared to more casual players
- No new coalition events, and even the newest events are rarely run, leaving us in a mire of HoD and pve events.
- Duel deck feedback was egregiously ignored, changing them from an exciting new event type, to one of the worst events in the game, and rarely run at all these days.
- the timer being shoved down our throats, with feedback being AGAIN either ignored, or the little response we get decides to treat us like we just don't understand their genius....
We have been here before, and we have made our opinion known before. For me the cup has spilled over with 3.3, and I'm frankly not spending a single cent on any in game until things start changing!

For me the main issue are:The totally inelegant solution to the self made problem of developing totally broken cards. Fix the cards, don't break the game. The miscommunication and ignorance about the issues above and below. The player level system punishing players who mastered their cards out of boredom. This favors some vets over others. The lack of coalition content.I'm a little spender, but now I'm F2P again.7

I have my own reasons of disapproval regarding the state of the game, and I am not afraid to mention them here:
1) Poor to no communication regarding the new set - the "long process" argument was rather an excuse than anything else. WOTC has been doing spoilers and revealing sets before their release for quite some time now. This was a great disappointment and in spite of Brigby doing this statement (with a grain of salt), I am not putting this on him as I realize there are bigger forces out there pushing in this direction.
2) The player level experience fiasco, which in spite of having lead to a lot of people being upset (I am not one of them), the company sticks to justifications at first before falling completely silent on the subject. I understand the problem of "users know what they want, they don't necessarily have the right solution for their needs" that development/requirements team have to face. I don't understand all the excuses behind it - not having a clear plan to present, clearly being clueless on the next steps and everything being a huge fog. When you make such a big change in steps, and you know you will impact harcore players, you calculate this, make a real plan and are TRANSPARENT about things (just by communicating about a subject doesn't make one transparent). This hasn't happened here!
3) Blocker bugs (such as the Sphinx's Decree fiasco) not treated with seriousness. Instead excuses again that the release process is complicated, pushing them into actual releases, this is unacceptable from a product perspective. Was the process fixed? Perhaps, I cannot be sure. I still see blockers waiting for a release to be fixed (see the Squee -X/-X effect leading to a buggy and stupid infinite loop). The mindset stays the same, and that is more worrying than not having an immediate solution. And the silence again!
4) Rulings and card texts - we've mentioned and complained about rulings for AGES now. The step they took in this direction was the whole Summon thing which is complete bogus. It doesn't even exist in paper magic, and in my opinion it's wrong terminology! We've been asking for this for aeons now, once again, complete silence about a concrete plan, small adjustments thrown to us as to "calm the masses" but even RNA has some card texts that make me gouge my eyes out, let alone consistency in past sets. And I have a feeling this isn't going to get solved anytime soon.
5) The timer fiasco - we discuss for months about loops, about potential solutions, ideas, suggestions, nothing from the team. Now suddenly we get this "surprise" feature, it's clearly bad, everyone is aware it's bad. What do they do? They come with a video to "properly explain it", which personally felt like they were insulting my intelligence (the timer functionality was OBVIOUS and that video was no surprise to me, just as bad as I initially imagined it). And I have a feeling it's going to be just like with the player level experience thing. Discussing behind closed doors, it will be released as usual, nothing will happen for a while, in the hope that "people will forget". Hoho, and I forgot about the best part: "It's too late to change now". Are you kidding me?! Why develop it behind our backs instead of consulting the community then first??? Cause clearly your team has 0 idea on how this game actually plays.
6) The "battery saver" mode which I still haven't forgotten. They fix the animations, people complain it consumes too much battery, they go ahead and make a switch between the old and new way, ta-da, huge improvement! That was insulting once again and shows just how "quick fix"-oriented the team is. Instead, regardless of the setting, the game keeps getting slower and slower. Loading screen takes forever, application dies behind the scenes and restarts, it feels like between matches megabytes of data are being transferred, not to mention the tedious animations, lagginess that once again only keeps getting worse (Convoke is still laggy and bad... Did anyone think to test the "fix" with 300x tokens on the battlefield and see if convoke spells still lag?).
7) Event times - oh boy, first they made a total disaster out of them (I still remember that dragons event ... worst times of my life). We keep asking for improvements in this direction for years. Every time we hear that "it can't be done". Honestly, I'm a developer, anything can be done. There are some quality of life improvements out there that should be SO HIGH in your backlog that if you had focused each iteration on them, they would've been out by now.
There were some good things Oktagon brought - fixed interface (ish), better rewards, no-dupe purples, some fun events and rework on older events (which again, one initiative that then stopped!), and I appreciate these quality of life improvements. But when the game becomes unplayable from any other point of view, I start to wonder what's the point?!7 -
You guys are making some great points. I find myself in an increased level of aggravation or boredom with this game, increasing daily.
Hope Octagon enjoys the nice lull in player expenditures at a time it's probably one of its highest.
I had such high hopes for Octagon. Maybe they'll pass the torch onto another company before turning into the next Hibernum.1 -
I've spent a fair amount of my paychecks on this game, probably more than I'd care to know really.
If my decks no longer work after this update, I won't be spending anymore until it's fixed.
If they won't listen to our input, they can listen to my wallet's input. I suspect their returns on the next set will be the worst they have ever experienced.

Yeah. I’m in for Not.Another.Dime.
I’ve spent far too much on this game. And to receive this treatment? Nope. Not happening.
And by “too much”, let’s just say I am 23 cards away from a complete collection (1 referral rare and 22 masterpieces to go) and all PWs are already at 60, with 70k orbs and 1.5 million runes to boot. So this will be their loss.
Ill probably tell my friend to join the movement too. He need Mana Conflux to have a complete collection and his game currency stash makes mine look pitiful.

I stopped spending a while ago, but not for any of the reasons listed above. When you have a game as unstable as this game, it's hard to imagine that the game will have a long shelf life. It seems more likely that the game will crumble under its own buggy weight. Why pour money into an infrastructure that seems doomed to fail?0
-
Gotta throw in with this movement again. I WANT to spend on this game. I budget money for each set that comes out to help support the game. For the points that my colleague @Thuran articulated I cannot do this anymore. The only thing we really ask is that @Oktagon_Daiane and crew LISTEN to us. We didn't like aspects of DDZE and nothing changed despite our repeated attempts to help. We didn't like anything about the timer and you condescend to treat us as unintelligent folk incapable of understanding how awesome this will be. JUST LISTEN! All I hear from Oktagon is about how awesome it is to work there. Why don't they stop by the forums and read how pissed off the core is? It makes no sense. I guess the only way we can communicate is shutting of the lifeblood. It feels like cutting off our nose to spite our face but what else can we do?4
-
I’ve spent hundreds on this game. I bought crystals every time there was sale. But I can’t justify that anymore. They are not trustworthy stewards of the game. Not one more dime until they decide communication is important. (And that means listening, not just posting stupid videos).3

I'll be supporting this as well until the timer is fixed. The money I spend on every new set will be withheld for the time being.0

Octagon is not that good at communication.
Whenever it decides to communicate, why does it do so when it's often too late?
Each time that happens, we get "we will monitor the situation".
If I recall, Hybernum communicated their intentions to modify Kiora at least 3 weeks before update/patch. They took our feedback and a compromise was reached days before the patch was set to release. That was effective communication when Hybernum used to be polite.

Oktagon caved and increased the timer to 90 seconds!!!
Its not gone, and the recent issues are still too much for me to get out the wallet, but still a huge win for the community saying: "NO!"2 -

It is still a sign of poor design and vision. I want massive bug fixes and standardized cards. Then I’ll get out my wallet1

That said, its still a huge deal and a major improvement over the 18 seconds initial timer, so I'll at least take that
Hopefully it will be entirely gone one day -_-1 -
I support this movement and will be withholding all cash transactions until the timer is resolved AND there are some confirmations on new team events. I encourage all on lookers to join us.
To to be fair we only wanna see a better game environment for the playerbase. I believe if we gonna spend money on a phone game it gotta be fun and something I wanna invest my own hard earned dollars into.0
