Rotating standard packs

Okay so I guess I need to bring up the rotation in the vault as it has been like this for a very long time.
I am going to exclude elite packs here and consider only regular packs.

I understand the marketing strategy for rotating walkers (to some degree) as well as that of rotating packs. This is not a problem of the elites that already possess most of the cards - heck, I stopped purchasing packs until RNA comes out.

But as a player that has been coaching other players for a while, I noticed just how crippling it is to have to wait for a specific set or another.  For the players who save up hard-earned gems waiting for a specific set or another I find this more and more a weird strategy.  Why not just have the standard sets (which contain the cards players can play in ANY event at this point?)  available at all times? At the moment this means ORI, IXN, RIX, DOM, M19 and GRN (with RNA being the next set).

Now I know what some might say "but Tilwin, there will be so many sets there, it's not practical". Yeah, probably at some point the Vault will need redesigning, perhaps distinguishing the regular Standard packs from the rest. But let's face it, how often do we scroll through the vault, and how big of an effort this is right now?! Besides, isn't it quite a hassle for the team to keep messing with the schedule of the packs? At least shove the standard packs out of the rotations and in as permanent sets.

Looking forward to other people's opinions on this.

I second this.  Rotating legacy sets is whatever but you should always be able to buy standard packs.

I think it's a clutter issue.  Maybe a new tab is in order?

I have to scroll to the bottom past a lot to get to the free 6hr pack as it is.

I'm torn here, agree on the concept but have to disagree with scrolling being a complete non-issue.  ("But let's face it, how often do we scroll through the vault, and how big of an effort this is right now?!")

I would roughly estimate my normal weekly vault usage as 90% free boosters, 9% elite packs, and 1% regular packs (excluding event rewards, sales, new set releases...).  While definitely small, each regular pack added to the list does add a slight amount of time to get to the bottom of the vault for the elite/free packs.  (obviously reasons for opening is significantly different for newer players, but will still be free packs most often)

Completely agree that a slight redesign + the packs available would be great.  Something as simple as putting free boosters on top would work for me personally, but they probably want us to scroll through anyway.

So overall I guess I'd be, selfishly, slightly against only adding packs.  However, I mostly just wanted to add free boosters to the discussion.

In all honesty free boosters could be pushed to the top of the list. I did consider them too but I found the scroll itself to be less of a price to pay for getting access to all standard packs.

I tried to propose the most effortless solution so that it would be appealing from an effort spent by the development team point of view. Yes, ideally a dedicated tab would be awesome.

But maybe players suffering from this lack of permanence can tell us better : would the extra scrolling be worth the price to always have standard packs available?
