Should all Standard Sets always be available for purchase in the Vault?

Right now standard and legacy sets rotate through the vault without any real indication of which sets will be available at any given time.  This keeps the clutter in the vault down, but makes it harder for players to target certain sets with their resources.

So, what do you all think?

Yes, but only with a vault redesign to reduce scrolling for the free packs

They will redesign the vault sooner or later anyway. A standard and a legacy option with the freebies at the bottom would be nice - no scrolling at the first screen, and clicking on standard or legacy opens all options. And indicator if a set will rotate to legacy when the next set releases would be helpful for non forum goers imo.

I presume the reason they are not all available at any specific moment is to create a sense of artificial scarcity.  Same w the PW.  'I'd better buy ABC now, otherwise it might be a long time before it rotates back in.'

(Disclaimer: I'm not a developer, so the following comments are purely my own personal speculations)

While I personally don't know 100% the reason for the card set rotations, like other players have mentioned, I think the way that the current interface is designed shouldn't be an overlooked factor. Much like how some players dislike scrolling through so many Planeswalkers when choosing a deck, I'm sure many players wouldn't enjoy scrolling through multiple card sets in the Vault either.

In order to avoid this frustrating user experience, the team would likely have to re-design the entire Vault interface, which is not an insignificant task.

Having said that though, could and should the Vault use a re-design? Sure! I would just imagine it would require a decent amount of time and effort to design, develop, test, and then implement. (Aka, it wouldn't be a quick alteration)

I have suggested before that timers be put on all sets so you know when they will be rotating out and when they come back in, have them grayed out when not in rotation. Same applies for planeswalkers in the vault.
The vault should display free packs on top, then origins, then sets from newest to oldest.

It is a perfect solution !

Scrolling to get to the freebies is probably by design, as they think it may inspire additional purchases.

It's a pain, though. Like this post if you think it's a pain.

Interesting idea. I don't really think there are actually players investing cash to get gold alone under normal circumstances. If they want to promote sales to get cash, putting the cash part of the vault upfront would make more sense than that.

Well, scarcity is a good explanation in my mind.

let us say I want Sorin, but I do not know when he appears in store so when I see Elspeth in store (whom I also considers of interest) I spend my yellows to get her only to find Sorin in store before I have saved enough for him, so I buy some yellows to get Sorin just to be sure.

you can substitute PW for other names but you get the picture, I imagine.

don’t know if this is the reason, but it could be.

At the least maybe I'd like to see the Vault subsectioned into Standard sets and Legacy sets and have all packs available.

This is what I was thinking, too, and could be the easiest of adjustments.
