@jtwood - could you elborate what part you are happy with? It seems you are saying you are fine with Mythic cards that can only reach their full potential sometime in the future. Is that correctly understood?
Yes, that is correct @Tremayne - but I added the qualifier that I'm a long-time paper player and I'm just accustomed to this from paper Magic. I enjoy it when seemingly worthless cards suddenly become very powerful because the right synergy appeared own the road.

That's how I'm reading that.  And I agree.  Nothing wrong with a card not being immediately useful.

Just look at Rashmi.  When she came out there were tons of forum posts from people calling her trash and poorly implemented.  Now she's seen as one of the most powerful mythics in the game.  Same goes for Mishra's Self Replicator and several other cards I can't think of right now.

Just because you can't see the value of a card at first glance doesn't mean that it isn't good.  It just means that it might just need some time.

TBF, Mishra was busted as hell in Legacy the moment he was printed. He can combo out single-turn, 200-point damage swings in a deck with only two mythics (and just a little luck). Not many cards that can pull that off.

You can do that with just 2 mythics?  I usually need an extra uncommon to help with the combo chain.
    Nice.

And I was referencing the number of forum posts about how useless it was.  I would have included Traxos too, but he got a significant buff before becoming super useful.
