Flipping the coin - DDZE

I have flipped the coin once more in DDZE and chosen my side for this event-run.

Sadly I seem to be on the loosing side once more (was winning when I went to sleep but not anymore). Now it is possible that things will change, but since I have been loosing every time I have participated in DDZE, I wonder if there is something I’m missing in this event.

I play all charges, when not matched against my own side (nice bug that really doesn’t annoy anyone BTW), but what am I suppose to do other than that, in order to influence the outcome of the event?

As far as I can tell there really isn’t anything else to this event than flipping a coin, because I can’t change the outcome of a event or can I?

Can someone enlighten me?

BTW - ain’t know this could be seen as feedback on DDZE for which there already is a thread, but so far I don’t see this as feedback. Might be if it turns out that my question highlights a poor design.

There sadly is nothing you can do. It's like roulette where you bet on red or black.. Im on the losing side ( so far ) as well, but just play your best cards and strategies so you can win and best of luck.   ;)

It doesn't look like this stacking thingy would really have an impact on the result.
If you really really want to win, then join late. But the difference in between winning and losing isn't ss big, the cards aren't that great - the true value are the runes.

If you loose you get a new card, if you don't buy for crystals before. If you win you get just the same dupe again (if you win this side before).

So loosing is not that bad.

btw. The eldrazi exclusive mythic is imho far better. It got it potential even in broad legacy environment. So maybe try to get this.

I don't know how many runs this events will have, but after a while everybody should have both exclusives and every rare af this set. The rewards are  still pretty high for efforts, compared to let's say Halloween event. And the runes are a big plus.

I played during beta. Nissa has only won once so far. And that time i chose eldrazi. Looks like i will never own the nissa exclusive mythic...

The 3rd phase really needed to be like an unlimited or semi-limited format. This way one side can recover from a bad position through hard work, which was a piece of feedback i had sent in..

Thank you all for your answers. Seems I have zigged every time when the rest have zagged.

The problem is not the missing cards it is the missing orbs. Lame design!

Likewise, here. But then I realized being able to fill out more of the rare cards wasn't such a bad deal and I HAD picked Eld one time when it won, so I'm not really that bitter. If I got the Zen mythical, great, but if not, then I get another non-dupe rare Zen card. Win-Win, IMHO.

Btw, it seems like the forum stacking didn't help as Eld are currently winning anyway.

Oh thats very true; i had not thought that - getting a new nondupe rare card is rather nifty.

Let's just face it. TED is winning each time from now. If everyone can just accept that, we all have to play less and win more :)

I keep playing Nissa until I get her exclusive card. I only played the second Beta and won the Eldrazi's exclusive back then. The last two runs Nissa lost, so still haven't got it.

BTW: being able to choose from four colors may seem like an advantage, but my N4 kills TED in a few turns with all the green gem changers.

TED is winning because some people are cheating and deliberately playing Sphinx's Decree. This skews things in mutiple ways but mainly because this bug can only hurt Nissa.

But I'm playing Nissa until she wins too, don't mind getting the rares for now, one day I'll win!

I don't like that people can see which side is leading before picking one, that's bad design. As soon as TED gets his current inevitable lead most people will never pick Nissa

I have both, and I have to say I think Mana Confluence is the better mythic <shrug> it's more broadly applicable, and is an absolute beast in Koth decks. I will say neither of them are all that game breaking, but I do understand wanting to collect them both.
