This Weekend is the Perfect Time for AWR

Looking at the sneak peek, all we have going on this weekend are DDZE and HE.  DDZE as it's currently structured is not a good replacement for the usual coalition event, and niether is HE.  There are so few matches to actually play.  Furthermore, we haven't had a Standard Coalition event in literal months and that's pretty frustrating.  Having said that, the two events while not substantial are not nothing, so piling on an RTO or a BOFT, or even TDW* would be a lot.   Enter AWR.  It's perfect.  It is low impact, itsi flavorful and we haven't played it since September at least and maybe August, my memory is fuzzy since it's been so long.  Why not add it to the weekend's schedule?

*Reated rant the me:  Dang guys, TDW is maybe the best event in the history of the game and we have only done it like twice since its release in July.  Meanwhile, in that time, we've retread HoD like three times.  I mean come on, let's play good current events please.  And another thing about HoD, why is it always with Bolas or Elspeth?  We haven't had an HoD with Samut in almost a year.  Rant over

Personally I have always considered the Original Terrors in the Shadows as the best event ever made, which I always find hilarious because it was only the 3rd event ever made here.

That being said, I do very much enjoy both playing TDW and getting M19 packs as a reward from stuff.  Sadly, it appears the event is too buggy to be run (Brigby confirmed this a while back, I can't remember which thread).

As for the Walker-specific events, why only HoD?  Why not bring back Trial of Strength?  Or Inventor's Fair?  Or the other Kaladesh version of Inventor's Fair whose name I can't remember?  Those could be fun too.

Are we so desperate for content that we are literally begging for an event where the hardest fight runs a bunch of Origins Commons and finishing all the fights takes 10 min every 8 hours?

Not saying I'm not all for it, but I feel like this is a pretty good gague for how poorly the event schedule has been plotted out recently.

AWR has tons of bounce cards and they’re bugged.

    No thank you.

I’m happy with AM and RotGP until SD and the bounce cards get fixed.

Bounce cards are bugged how?  The kill vs don't cast thing?  I don't think that's bad enough to not run an event.

    Yes.  It is that bad.

Every event has cards that are bugged. Because this game is full of bugs.

Not a good enough metric to not run an event. Tired of hearing it.

As for the Walker-specific events, why only HoD?  Why not bring back Trial of Strength?  Or Inventor's Fair?  Or the other Kaladesh version of Inventor's Fair whose name I can't remember?  Those could be fun too.
Another name for Inventor's Fair is Breaking Point.

Because people can use Sphinx's Decree in any PvP. Also walker specific events from past sets would require players to buy walkers that won't exactly be useful. At least with HoD, the three required walkers aren't super set-specific and will take a newer player far in other aspects of gameplay.

there are lesser bugs about bouncing. From lastest HoD/AVM, some of us founded that servos related creature causing freeze. I cant say it wont happen to non servos related creature. At least, it is better than playing around SD. Beside that, if u have some spare time, kindly report which cards causing bounce freeze in follow link :#  (reporting both spell and bounced creature will be very appreciated). https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/73550/bouncing-effect-cause-freeze-investigating#latest

Btw, it is countless RotGP until now,
I would rather play ToZ than RotGP. Although ToZ is difficult as Hell.

TOZ has cycling objectives and anyone who has joined the game since the beginning of the summer likely doesn't have cycling cards.

These old events are cool -- however shutting out a portion of the dedicated player base due to set specific objectives is not.

    They need to be updated.

There are still HoD cards from free booster......i believe newbie can own cycling cards for 5 colors if they pull 6hrs booster at least 3 times a day. :)

They're not totally out of it. It's just a secondary they can't fulfill the first time they're part of the event.. But it's not that new players could or need to be perfect anyway. I don't see the issue.
Taking the set flavor out of events makes them just more the same than they already are. Even when it's as annoying as cycling.

Plus, there are still the free cards from the training

Nod. Beginners shouldn't be expecting to hit secondaries straight away, they should be working towards it over time.

I'm not usually a "keep things the same because we had to do it that way!" guy, but winning Werewolves in a pack and then using them later in the same event to get the objectives was a cool feeling.

I think the expectations on beginners need to be dialed back a bit, they need to be able to play and do ok, not be top 10 in bronze in every event straight away. Lots aren't and won't be. I think we've taken the luxury of "being able to do objectives" a bit far and I like that Avacyn's Madness breaks that up a little, it needs to be broken more elsewhere too...
I acknowledge it's a hard balance to find though, especially when there are objectives that are so based on randomness or others that drag the game down so much and neither of those are much fun. The new Dragon Wars and RetuneOfTheGodThrowpillow are a great start for accessible and interesting ones though.
