How about some new old events?

With the constant re-running of old events to give us more content, I am really surprised we don't see a bigger diversity of rehashed coalition events.  I'm talking about:

Trial of Zeal (mysteriously vanished into the aether)
Trial of Strength (same as Hour of Devastation, true, but with different required walkers and objectives)
Trail of Ambition  Its been so long I can't remember what this one was.  Even better reason to bring it back
Fate is Rarely Fair, Emergency Ordinances, Breaking Points, Inventor's Fair (pretty garbage events, but we haven't seen them in a while so fresh garbage.  Also the vehicle and energy objectives would have to be changed.)

Also fun to see:  The original Nodes of Power (no secondaries), the Valentine's Day/Halloween/Christmas events, and Emrakul's Corruption with the original objectives just to piss everyone off.

Seriously, though, why is HOU the go-to set for old stuff?

    woahwoahwoahwoahwoah there buddy

let's not go talking about bringing back Fate is Rarely Fair.  I mean I finally got the boomship and that still sounds super unappealing to me.

The rest sound great though ;)

Thanks.  I edited with actual names.  Totally forgot about some of those.  Say what you want about Hibernium, but they did love to crank out new events pretty frequently

Does anyone remember the event where we competed for Saheli and used Greg's Saheli deck back before Kaladesh released?  That was by far my favorite event.  As a noob back then, it was fun to use a deck stocked with mythics (Hangerback Walker) I remember and a few others.  Maybe run a 3 node event with 3 different PW's and give everyone the same loaded deck?  I think that would be fun and put the newer players on a level playing field for an event.

Maybe lobby now for a reprise of the now multiple years old Halloween Challenge single black node holiday event for October (Summon zombies).

    Moar Planeswalker Arena plz!
Welcome to the Forums!  Thanks for making my random questioning your first.

And I agree, the Planeswalker Arena was a great concept that was implemented really poorly.  I would love to see it come back for another chance

You know full well it's going to be standard cards only so you have to try and play 7 Weatherlights.

Inventor's fair was also one of those events with great rewards and high stakes. I wouldn't call it garbage.

I don't remember any of the Kaladesh events being particularly liked when they ran, but the exclusive planeswalker ones did have good rewards.  That wasn't something people cared as much about back then, though (I think it was before the general nerf to rewards and protesting)

The problem haven't been the events itself (or :not only) , it was the endless repetition of always the very same events over and over and over and over again.

I wouldn't mind seeing these old events with the second objective being to build within that event's meta.

And I wouldn't mind seeing them all run at some point, as long as they're run as LEGACY and not some crazy patched together "Standard" event with Legacy prizes... :#
