Dragon War Event

Can somebody who has registered decks in the nodes let us know what the specific bonuses from each one are? I’m not seeing anything in the event description about the specific nodes, except that there are special bonuses unique to each one. Would be good to know that before registering a PW and building a deck.

You join event, then before assigning a pw you can read all objectives

There are bonuses proper to each node that are not mentionned in the objectives or rules.

Only done top node so far. Relevant ability appears to be that your first ability draws a card and adds three mana (in addition). I played against a Bolas, which is probably the right choice for that node. Got swamped by Avaricious dragon, Etali, storm the vault, Josu, and infinite obliteration

You can get a breakdown of what gets added to your PW's abilities by reading the updated release notes.  Should be immediately after the spoilers for the new PWs that will be added later on.

Since we're talking about this event, and the OP's question has already been answered, here are my two cents.

    Pros:

    1) I like the "feel" of this event a lot. Great design, great flavor and cool abilities added to your own PW's abilities.

    2) Great rewards! Both individual and coalition rewards. Seems Oktagon has been listening!

    3) ONE starting charge, which is great, since it is a 5 node event (see below). This makes players that live in Europe, like me, don't wake up on Saturday with 15 charges. Seems Oktagon has been listening!

    Cons:

    1) Yet again a 5 node event. I get that there are 5 Elder Dragons, but you could have easily added a sixth dragon (Ugin?) and create two separate events. Seems Oktagon has NOT been listening.

    2) Looking at the timer of this event, it seems yet again that this event ends on Monday, even though a LOT of people have been pleading to end weekend events on Sunday. Seems Oktagon has NOT been listening.

All in all, I like the event, but mainly because it is new and fresh. I hope the two cons won't outweigh the pros in a few weeks.

As it is right now, it's yet another 5-node endless grind event that end during the working week. This is not cool at all. :(

Is it endless? We’ve only had two charges on each node so far...

I like the flavor as well. But I expected something different.. This is just our generic 5 node grind with an extra layer. You can't access the extra layer in-game, so you have to take notes to take the extra rules into account. This, plus the unusual amount of colors makes this event very complicated to build for.
To me, it is an interesting idea that should have come up, but not end in the game. Instead, it could have really been interesting if you really had to choose one particular dragon and faced the decks of players that chose another one.
Perhaps as you play against other dragons, after a certain number of games, your dragon’s abilities change to symbolize it has advanced? Core’s story is of the elder dragons from hatching to death, this could have been kind of the same.

Personally, this event is bugged. Your opponent gets to activate their abilities 4 times a turn. That’s got to be the worst error in programming I’ve ever seen in this game - considering on the bottom left node you nuke the first opponent creature when you use your third.

This is so disappointing. I have mixed feelings about this whole thing. But for sure D3 and the devs messed up severely here. Amazing they could take a potentially fun event and then take a huge tiny kitty on it.

So far, its also another event where a single loss means no prizes as getting perfect is very easy on all nodes

    My review:

    GOOD:

Adding to the planeswalker abilities is unique, interesting and cool to build around.

Objectives are fun and more related to deck building than before.

Prizes are OK, if somewhat nerfed compared to previous events.

    BAD:

Objectives need some tuning. As it stands, they're very easy to achieve. I would increase the power/toughness limits to 6, "damage in one turn" to 30-40, etc. "Play expensive cards" should probably start at 12, to avoid StV and the Capashen twins.

What's with the secrecy around events? Post the exact rules in the pre-release notes and in-game! People like to prepare. I thought we had this solved with the last batch of events!

Still time issues. Ends on Monday, and finishing 5 nodes in those few hours is stressful. 5 nodes is a lot in general, although the objectives lend themselves to fairly quick games.

Progression completes in roughly 2 charges. In general, I'd like to see progression at around 75% of perfect to make the event interesting for longer.

5 nodes, 3 days like race to orazca. Then we complain, then they shorten.
Please, everybody, of you think the event is too long open a feedback ticket asking to decrease the duration.
Tickets are the only way for them to count us.

3 days is necessary for weekend events otherwise people in extra timezones (+/- 10 GMT for example) only get ONE day.

So rather than just shorten it, increase the flexibility.

    1/4 is an excellent start.

    Suggestions:
Move starting and ending times back 12 hours, this allows -10 GMT to start on friday night but more median GMT people have lost NO nodes when that time comes around for them. People can pick and choose what they do a lot more.

In terms of complaining about length people are almost always talking about number of charges. We've suggested time and again that the final charge last longer, so in this case leave the end time where it is (or hopefully shifted!) but drop the last charge completely.

There might be some concerns I haven't covered, though this should work for most timezones I think?

How about starting the event with the full amount of charges we now get over the entire weekend. 8 or 9? No recharges. Whenever you join.
So you have the whole weekend to clear them, all at the time it suits you most.
I know I will not clear all my nodes today because the last recharge happens 20 mins before heading to work, and that stinks.
So your idea Kinesia of dropping that last charge would've benefited me greatly today...

Unfortunately, they want you to keep logging into the game every X hours more than they want to convenience you.

    Probably very true
