Why has this event resurfaced? And why oh why are the rewards SOooOOOooo bad? No one wants to play this long tedious event, but since your gonna thrown it on our plate anyway you could have at least upped the rewards.

@BATMAN1 You're wrong on all fronts.
If you take the time to read the OP you will see why RotGP resurfaced. New objectives, new rewards and more runes. In essence it isn't the same event you played in the past per se.
and yes, they did in fact up the rewards
and no, I love this event as do many others ... Now BoFT is a different story... one that RotGP doesn't hold a torch to in regards to grind time.

Now personally I would prefer a Trial of Zeal re-run (since its the only one that hasn't come back yet), but its nice regardless to have a PvE that isn't the same one every weekend.2 -
Here’s the thing the rewards for this event were bad to start with, so adding a couple thousand runes doesn’t make it good all of a sudden. The new objectives? Who cares it’s still the same artwork, the same decks and the same abilities. This event was beat to death and back for 3-4 months when the other studio was closing so when you say there is a lot of people who like this event, I find it hard to believe. Whenever they announce this event, you can almost here the groans shaking the mtgpq universe. If they wanna revisit and recycle old events in the future there are plenty to pick from, it doesn’t have to be this old song and dance.0

I'm sorry you feel that way. But keep in mind any one person's opinion is not necessarily reflective of every player's opinion and preferences.5

im very surprised that one of the objectives on 3.1 is to deal 20 or more damage total
were the new objectives assigned at random

I’m really excited to play this event. I’ve always liked it and new objectives give it an interesting spin. Especially these objectives! Pauper? 20 Damage in one turn!
We’ve been begging for fresh and interesting objectives and Oktagon answered. Sure, they could have saved these objectives for a new event, but at what cost? Pushing back M19? Not fixing bugs?
One thing I appreciate about Oktagon is they frequently make small updates to existing content. I believe that says a lot about priorities. When Hibernum was pushing out tons of new content back to back, the game broke.
Also, I’ve seen nothing but positive feedback about the changes — no collective groans.5 -

This event used to be super tedious. This was particularly the case when it had 4 hour refresh timers. Now it should be much better, especially considering how long BoFT and AM is in comparison. I haven't look at the rewards yet but I had no plan to play perfect this time, aiming for progression minimum, so I can't say much about that part of it yet.0 -
I'm no fan of RotGP, but I'm excited to give it a whirl with new objectives. We've asked for objective changes for a long time.

The jewel and crystal rewards and accessibility to jewels for lower ranking coalitions have been increased across the board.BATMAN1 said:The new objectives? If this post appeared in February...I would wholeheartedly agree with you. Months of being stuck with RotGP every weekend while D3 and Oktagon worked out their relationship and game plan going forward left a bad taste in my mouth too. But time has passed and we have played a great many other events in between the great Lull and now. RotGP had been revised in Objectives, rewards and the available sets allowed to be used in the event. So no... I don't hear a collective groan... (an irony since I am deaf) but excitement to give this a go.
I personally hated FiRF ... still do. But if the objectives were to change... I would wholeheartedly embrace the challenge of trying it again. I seriously doubt the artwork would detract any fun from the experience.

Mildly disappointed we don’t get to use sets relevent to the event setting. No Amonhket cards even though our opponents will be using them.

3 nodes event is ideal. New objectives was a good idea. The event got better! But the rewards could be updated with super pack or rare card. 3-cards basic booster and xxxx runes are discouraging...

I was very burnt out on this event. I've played it more than any other event . I played it to the point that getting a perfect score was muscle memory. I'll admit that I groaned when I saw it come back, but the new objectives make it fun again. The rewards were and will likely remain unexciting, but that's just how it is. The majority of us aren't hurting for rares . I don't really think that's the point for a lot of us . Hanging out and chatting tinykitty with my coalition is fun . That's really the only reason I play events. I have all the rares .1

So, event: Fun, I like it a lot better than its previous iteration, though that could be simply because I haven't played it in awhile.Server issues, though, are ruining things and have been for the last several hours. =/ So many SWWs and can't connects.5

I would like to play in this event, but can’t because of the server issues. Can’t even open my free packs without crashing the app.3
