I'm currently also on the "You broke my trust, am not satisfied, and probably won't get any more of my cash if this is the end of it" team as well as the "Gilded Lotus was the major deciding factor in buying the bundle."

I had even thought to myself two+ weeks prior, "Gee, I wish that they sold a good mana ramp card at a reasonable price."

I would strongly suggest raising the mana cost, perhaps double to 14, so that it could keep its original wording. Many people, including myself, are upset about the drastic change in function - and would be willing to pay more for that function rather than to have a mediocre effect at a mediocre mana cost.

This is a PR fire that isn't going away unless you either listen to your customers or you let the cash bridge burn.

What receipt..? Oo i dont have a receipt...? In any case, as someone mentioned above, would be very easy for you to filter who got the bundle and who didnt in order to compensate those... 80 crystals, which by the way sounds like a joke... a bad one.

What about the other 4 cards that came with Karn @Brigby ?  None of those were very strong, yet all are getting nerfed (well, all but 1).

Why change those?  And why no compensation for them?

So if someone decides to buy the Karn bundle now in light of Gilded Lotus being nerfed or aka 'sent to the scrapyard known as Phyrexia the heck for artifacts' (not my words but from an actual Magic the Gathering book) would they get this refund or does it only apply to those who bought the Karn Planeswalker bundle before this announcement came out?

Very curious and just waiting patiently for my answer because I have not bought with cash anything in game since the boycott began last year.

Not very impressed. Poor handling of the situation.

This is not Oktagon as I would have expected. They are boarding the D3 train and it disturbs me greatly.

You guys should know better than that. Be better than your predecessors.

I have no receipt left since it's around month from it so.. How do I get my 80 crystals?

That answer was important, and at least a week too late.. But thank you anyway - don't forget to use the inbox to inform players that are not here as well.
In game support is still broken.
However, as pointed out a dozen times b: you're changing a great, but not overpowered card to something barely playable. Change the cost or change the bonus, but not both - at least consider our suggestions.

this is the best approach or come up with something better. I wouldn't settle for some 80 crystals.
They should look into Baral as example for balance. The card was indeed OP and people paid for it with cash. However Baral was not overnerfed to uselessness and the community as a whole was content. Actually the changes to Baral were not nerf per say but more like redisign and many found the new Baral more interesting

Yeah, at least, now that we got to be the testers (after paying for it), consider what most of us are saying. It wasnt broken to deserve such a nerf...
And next time, think twice before throwing cards into a cash bundle... me personally  will think twice if not more before paying for anything...

In sheer terms of efficiency, Gilded Lotus was nerfed by at least 61% of its original value (originally took 3.5 matches to make up cost, now take 9, this isn't taking into effect the fact that by increasing the cost it is also slowing down other cards that it shared hand space with by eating two more mana).  At 2 shields, it doesn't tend to last long due to cascades and the AI having an absolute hard-on for targeting it with every swap it can.  If +2 was too good to keep, even with a higher cost, the cost and benefit should both have been reduced - instead it was increased to the point where it's absolute trash.  Meanwhile, other cards with much more powerful metas around them have been left totally unchanged (Omniscience, New Perspectives, Hazoret's Undying Fury, etc), so an 80 crystal refund that you have to file a support ticket to receive is just insulting.

The "never getting another dime out of me" crowd was growing because of the nerf, but this "compensation" is only adding fuel to that fire.

Karn was the first time i spent money on mtgpq. And now it was the last time. Lotus was a big reason for buying Karn. Without the Lotus i would have bought it with crystals. And 80 crystals as compensation is a joke. NOT ANOTHER DIME!

    Wait a second!

DOM will be 80 crystals each pack, so a 400 crystal PP? That is snowflaking tinykitty!

Hope it turns out the paragraph was just badly written and not Ocktagon deciding to rip us off worse than they already did by reducing event rewards -_-

Still kudos for giving the crystals, even if i madre my position clear that i dont believe anyonevwjo bought karn deserves Them, and that d3 would be in the right not to give anything.

Way to go above and beyond :) or way to try and put out the potential PR damage, which it probably is.
IXN and RIX were 80 / 120 / 320 for their first month and then went down.

I'm sure this is the same case.

Let's wait for  @Brigby to clarify when he returns to the office before we jump the gun.

Okay, I definitely jumped the gun. If DOM is like RIX in terms of drop rates I'll be happy.

I would just like to point out that Gilded Lotus's pre-nerf +2 Bonus as a Rare is completely off-set by the Uncommon Dampening Sphere that's being released with Dominaria that has a -2 bonus effect.
But Damping Sphere affects both parties which makes it much less stronger than pre-nerf Gilded Lotus since you suffer the effects too.

Also a player fielding both Damping Sphere + Gilded Lotus would totally crush the opponent since a -2 across the board to your opponent is more significant an advantage than a +2 across the board to yourself.

@pbmtg makes a very good point about negative play experience. I think my biggest annoyance with the Lotus nerf is that it is slowing the game down a lot and that is a huge negative play experience for me. Gilded Lotus literally does nothing on its own. All it does is speed the game up so I'm not slogging through 10 min games sandwiched in between tons of loading and ending encounters and fetching event info and finding new opponent and you get the point. This game is too slow, in all aspects. Gilded Lotus at least sped up game play. I already could win every single game with Ob. Lotus just made that happen faster and less boring.

I suspect a slower game is exactly what they are trying to achieve.  Unfortunately they left overpowered loopy, mana, and fetch from previous sets untouched.  So they won’t achieve this goal before those sets

Slower than an Azor or Elenda match? *rolls eyes* can't go any slower than B4T which many people agree is slow, painful and boring. And I got a REALLY good score last time... Doesn't mean I like that long, pointless grind. If it weren't for the coalition, I wouldn't bother beyond the 750 progression. (and even the coalition rewards are debatably not worth the effort)
