    Cards I will miss:
    Wrath of God
    Dark Ritual
    Samut
    Angel of Sanctions
    Cruel Reality
    Anointed Procession
    Pyramid of the Pantheon
    Approach of the Second SUn
Deem Worthy (Red is running out of removal fast)
    Hazoret's Favor
    Trial of Ambition
    Black & White Cartouches
    Final Reward

I am happy to see cycling go as well, and the civil war over it on these threads can finally come to an end.

I will miss a lot of really good cards though, Sand Wurm Convergence, Gideon's Defeat, Desert of the Mindful, Zombie Tribal, some good stuff.
Gideon's Defeat and the Desert are both in HOU so they aren't rotating our of Standard yet.
I feel your pain. I’m losing all those cards too... And more. I have 6 masterpieces from the set and only one mythic to craft (Scarab God). So.... Ouch... :/

Approach of the Second Sun is my main 400+ HP boss killer.

I'm not super excited to see it go away.

I think I'm going to miss Cast Out the most.  That card has saved my bacon too many times to count
Ditto to this. That card is such a staple in so many events for me. Not looking forward to figuring out how to replace it.

Dominaria has a card in blue called "Deep Freeze"

"Enchanted creature has a base power and toughness 0/4, has defender, loses all other abilities and is a blue wall in addition to its other colors and types"

No Pirates, 1 Green Dino , but Vamps and Merfolk get more added to their pool. Poor Vraska will live in a box. Red looks a little weak , but who wouldn't want Squee the Goblin. Paper he can be cast from the hand , graveyard or exile...

Will AKH rotate out after Dominaria hits the field? My expectation is that AKH and HOU will rotate out once Dominaria and the set after that will come in.

Edit: Never mind... I just read the Q&A session. I don't understand why it's not consistent with last rotation.

Because Oktagon mentioned in am earlier Q&A that they were hoping to maintain 5 sets in standard. While in paper both AkH and HOU rotate out at the same time. PQ cards are differemt from paper and AKH had a few cards that dramatically changed the meta. Oktagon said that changes may be made to improve the game, especially for standard. I.e. hypothetically if AKH isn't going to be dropped when Dominaria is released...  simply means that NP/drake or NP/Faith of the devoted or NP Bolas ID builds will continue to see heavy play in events.

This way, by dropping AKH, Dominaria cards are more likely to see play in events as well as IXN and RIX. A smart move imho

@Machine Starting with Dominaria, paper magic is not blocking sets.

Also in MtGPQ, starting with AKH/HOU the expansion stood alone from both card pool size and pack draws.

What box exactly will Vraska live in?  Her abilities are completely standalone, and quite good to boot.
Not having new pirates or dinos won't hurt her at all.

Red may be quite powerful, it all depends on how they bring in the equipment dudes (they are stupid strong in paper, if a bit slow).  I have a feeling Squee will be both fun and underwhelming here, just like in paper

Her second ability with pirates exploring when they attack is what I was referring to. Nothing major , but it would have been nice to have at least one pirate to look forward to. True ,paper to puzzle quest is drastically different in what is rare or not or how it is translated. The Vampire and Merfolk will get a major boost if they are remotely similar to paper and they will mesh nicely with the previous 2 sets. I guess , dinos and pirates fit the themes of energize and cycling as a finite life span when they finally leave standard in the future.

I could name a dozen I use all the time (not even talking about cycling decks) but Shefet Monitor will hurt the most.

I will miss the best mythic in the game aka the most efficient burn spell in mtgpq, which is Torment of Hailfire...

I’m just highly relieved we still have Solemnity in the game as it is HOU. What would we do without it?? Especially now that cycling is rotating out. It was the greatest troll card of all time against cycling. But now it really has no use - as heaven forbid, what if the AI actually ever cycled a single card...
