Give some love to 'Story Mode'

A new chapter for story mode would be really cool, based on the 4 tribes and with all the new Planeswalkers there is stuff and lore enough to release a propper full episode with actually hard objectives and rewards...

The last 2 additions to Story mode were only a couple matches to explain the new mechanics.

We have now a lot of new content for a propper chapter like the old ones, I really enjoyed the eldrazi one, and they were pretty challenging actually!

Story mode hasn't seen an update in years.  It could REALLY use some love.

Some more special heroic battles to against newer planeswalkers with a pre-established board could be a fun challenge too.

Yes, please! More story, and more Heroic Encounters for other planeswalkers! I'm pretty sure you could get the community to help with the design.

Would love a new story mode. In something from Oktagon (blog maybe?) they mentioned story mode and said they wanted to make it a little different, actually weave the magic storyline into it. I'm a huge fan. Let's have battles that actually help to tell the story whilst being challenging. If anyone has played Eternal, their newest campaign did a cool job of telling a story (not a very good one, but we don't have to be original here. There's tons of writing literally on the Wizards website about the magic story).

One of my favorite experiences  and the thing that got me hooked on this game was going through story mode the first time. It's still something I will play for fun from time to time.

They are doing the game a disservice by not giving any attention to developing it further.

The Training mission they added for rivals was _excellent_ for it's purpose but it was soooo disappointing that it was the only fight instead of the 5 new we are used to, building up to a sample booster of the set.

I would love to see more of story mode. It has been such a crucial part of the game for me in the beginning, and the challenges in later encounters gave me some of the most suspenseful games since I started playing. New content, new challenges, maybe even on higher difficulties: I'd play the hell out of it.

We've been asking for this literally since Innistrad came out with no story mode.

Oktagon has promised to look into it, though, so maybe in a year or two we'll get something.

Some other games have weekly "puzzles" to beat (usually weekly) and the heroic encounters in story are a little like that.

Instead of asking for a huge addition to story (even though I really want it there's a resource barrier), could a small amount of resources be put into adding just a fight or two every week?  Heroic encounters for all the new planeswalkers using cards appropriate to their sets would be a good place to start.

I can't help but feel like we won't get new story as long as the devs are perpetually behind. In theory we're caught up now, but I don't think I've ever seen so many bugged cards at one time. So that means that we're still stuck in perpetually behind land. That's disappointing. I really enjoy this game, but I'm constantly afraid it's going to colllapse in on itself one day. Oktagon had my confidence for a while , but now it's just more of the same non answers and excuses . I do like some of the changes. The blog posts are nice, even if they do feel a bit phoned in , compared to the original few . Q&A posts are nice , but often lack much real information and blatantly avoid many, if not most, of our questions. Ixalan could, and should have been combined with rivals . Instead it was a shamelessly blatant cash grab . The amount of time between releases was just enough time to juice us for 3 pws and 4 exclusive bundles . Exclusives that are all craftable in spite of the fact that we still can't craft hod exclusives . There's just a whole lot of "what gives" and very few answers for our questions. We all assume that the lack of story episodes is a lack of resources . Maybe instead of telling us you'll look into it, we get told that a lack of resources makes it difficult right now .

Yeah...I too do occasionally get the fear that Octagon is, in a metaphor in theme of the current sets, looting as much treasure as it can from a sinking mtgpq ship.

I wish I knew their average monthly revenue and the cost of maintaining and adding new game content.  I know that's something they'll never share.

Is there even a company website?  All I can find from searching is the Octagon sports industry and...of course...the shape

Do we know the structure of the agreement with Wizards? Is it such that Wizards is invested in this and should be shunting resources into it? Does Wizards make decisions in any way? Or have they simply allowed the use of their trademarked material?

A while back, someone from these forums actually went out to Wizards HQ and sat down with someone from customer relations to talk about this game. I wonder whether anything ever came from that?

Oktagongames.com is the website. Also, wouldn't the publisher (D3Go) normally be handling the money? I don't think they're just handing Oktagon 100% of the revenue from the game, or anything close to it.
