Well if it works as is written, it says on a completely different line to flip it at end of turn if you control 3 creatures with first strike. So if you build using three creatures that have first strike, you should be able to flip it reliablly.

So you could build a solid deck for it using say... Consul's Lieutenant, Dire Fleet Daredevil, and Knight of the White Orchid to get a reliable flip in standard. Even more options in Legacy.

I say until fixed, this is probably the best way to get the flip of Path of Mettle.

Except in my example, I had three humans in play, and the support did not give first strike to any of them. Also my opponent had a non-human, non-dinosaur, and it didn’t deal that creature any damage. Then, because the first paragraph didn’t trigger properly, the support never flipped.

Yes, I would think in your example, because it is bugged and didnt damage the non-human/non-dino, and didnt buff your 3 humans with First Strike, it wouldnt flip because you still dont own 3 creatures with First Strike.

But if you have 3 creatures that naturally have First Strike on the battle field, it will flip because the condition is met.

I will test this to make sure, I am going to build a deck with 3 humans with first strike (there are plenty to choose from, and let you know if I get the flip.

I can verify that Path of Mettle does flip if you have 3 or more creatures with natrual First Strike.

I waited till I had all 3 creatures and Path filled with mana. Dropped all of them in the same turn and got the flip.

I cant seem to add images to the forum post, so here is the direct link. Image shows decklist, hand before dropping everything and the flip side on the board.

in my experience it flips with 3 humans with firststrike.
double strike doesn't count as firststrike.

Hi Everyone. The bug with Path of Mettle not damaging non-humans should be fixed now. There is a fix currently awaiting testing, when it comes to Path of Mettle not granting First Strike to creatures.
