This past weekend was the first time misplays have mattered in months. Really challenging, super swingy matches. Had multiple games run over 30 minutes. Sure, same old same old is stale. I play this game a lot and have for a year and a half . It's always been somewhat stale . It's matching gems and beating face. I'm actually enjoying events again, as matches no longer feel like a guaranteed win . Objectives take effort and thought again. Speed matters again because of how swingy matches get . In a perfect world , Greg wouldn't be quite so damn lucky , this is mtgpq , not a perfect world. This is the first time I've ever been happy with a new set in spite of the fact I don't like the cards. Seems like a win to me .

I had way too many matches taking more than 30 minutes in that event. This is completely unacceptable for this kind of game. Once again this is more working than playing and there is absolutely no fun in that.

Perhaps if I faced more good Ixalan decks or the new planeswalker (still yet to see her out there), it might refresh my view.  Until then though...still meh...
The new Planeswalker is embarrassingly bad - easily the worst PW in the game - and the cards she's supposed to work with are also bad, which just compounds the problem. (Not to mention that half of the enrage dinos are....green. The better half, no less!) I have run into a few of her and most of them barely did anything the entire match.

The worst in the game??  Worse than Chandra2 or Lilly1?? :o

Do you know what her final mana bonuses are?  I was really hoping she'd be more than a +3 red and +3 white.

Yeah I suspect they didn't put a lot of effort into the set either, as the sneak peek seemed to suggest.
Makes me sad the hate Liliana 1 gets. I love her--first PW I maxed. Admittedly I don't play her much now, just give her a bump up on mana.
I empathize with you there, she was the first one I played and maxed too (black and blue are my main color types in the mtg card game).  But I struggled so much winning matches with her...mtgpq apparently decided that white and red are my main colors.  :o

"first time misplays have mattered in months"  what are you talking about?  We've had coalition events every weekend, those all mattered to me.

Glad you're enjoying yourself though.  I wouldn't want other people to be miserable; I know I just expected more, and I know I'm not alone in that view.

the listing I've seen referenced on here was during the sneek peak release, without specific details to the abilities and no mana bonuses listed.  Did I miss a more updated version?
Also for Hautli -- since she has been released, she is updated on the mtgpq.info site which means you can use her slider and check her stats at any level.
    ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww she's pretty bad
