Ashes of the Abhorent is a big card that I think will be played a lot in MTGPQ. It translates well.

'Taxed' might be a better word than 'raised'.

Also, it'd be nice if it couldn't be discarded either, wouldn't it?
Taxed means to sap, drain or strain. Raised is opposite of this, which is closer to escalate or inflate.

It would be nice if it couldn't be discarded. Be useful whenever facing black or blue decks
I think Kardynal was referring to what is considered a tax effect in paper.

    This is a fine example:

If your opponent wants to cast a red spell, they have to pay a 2 mana tax. Much like with most things you buy, you pay sales tax above the item's cost.

Back on topic, I think Goring Ceratops is awesome and will be really good as long is it stays expensive and has a low power/toughness. That is very much a supporting creature that buffs your other large dinos. And in PQ it will always attack on every turn unlike in paper.

I'm curious to see how this one turns out:

Here's my pick for the potential best card:

So in seeing Arcane Adaption, I think it will be used for Ixalan events.  Use this and play the cards you want from other sets and collect *all* the tribal benefits of each node.
