    I'm a bit sympathetic to @Brigby's position:

Mtgpq players: "Where is the stuff?? Why you leaving us in the dark Brigby??  Hello??????"

Brigby to Octagon: "Hey guys, got any new information I can give them?"

Octagon *red alert sirens in the background* : "Are you kidding?!  We just had an unexpected glitch from one of our new cool updates that would've DESTROYED half the accounts in this game.  It would have been the Y2K of mtgpq, it's a miracle we got it fixed!  Just come up with something clever, we don't pay you the big bucks for nuthin ya know."

Brigby to the players: "...we're really excited about some upcoming new updates, that'll further immerse you in the deep lore of the mtg universe (and hopefully not cause your account to commit seppuku).  Great stuff a'comin guys!!!"

It would be much easier to be patient if they gave us something to play in the meantime

They said it would be broken into several parts. I presume they wouldn't post all the parts on the same day. So we should have something coming soon. If they dump 40 pages of stuff on us Friday at 5pm, stretching another deadline to the limit... I guess that would be par for the course.

This is the basis right here for my impatience. It's been a week at least, and possibly even longer, since we heard about this epic novella-length blog post. I've done a considerable amount of writing in my time, both professionally, and as a hobby, and I have to say that unless they're greatly concerned about either overpromising or letting secrets slip out, I have no idea why it could take this long. Thirty pages is not really that long in the grand scheme of things. For a blog post, perhaps. But we have also been told it is being divided up into several sections (as @HypnoticSpecter mentions above) so I have to wonder why we don't have at least one of those sections yet. Did they start from the end or something?

As for remaining patient, I would say I rank among some of the most patient players still playing this game. I stuck through it and played nearly every single event even during the worst of times, and following Hibernum's departure. If that's not patience, then I have no idea what is.

Anyway, everyone else comes here to gripe about stuff, so I don't see why I can't follow suit. /shrug

    I'm with you goblin brother.

We stand United in our ever growing impatience.

Octagon devs have already provided 30 pages of information, remember? I don't think devs have to do the editing too so they can keep on working on Ixalan without having to worry further about our pestering regarding blog post.

I don't know if editing is brigby's job or some other people are involved but .... Come. On!!!!

Hmmm I dunno then, maybe Brigby is looking at these comments and thinking what a bunch of ungrateful players we are and is holding out on us.  lol

I dunno, I love this game but most other app games at some point have taught me that it's okay to take a few days break and do other things with my life.

Awkward indeed, when people are begging for something there's a desire to withhold it so that in the future they don't repeat the same behaviour to try and get more and more trivial things until you're at
"Brigby! Why aren't you over here at my house getting me breakfast!"
