TINYKITTY YES! I am a big fan of the 500 ISO standard tokens. I've said this before, my 3* rates are better when I buy tokens with ISO. And now you get more ISO back for the increased rate of 2* that you'll sell.0 -

The 2* drops are a very welcome change; I was getting tired of having to place in the middle of tournament rankings all the time just to get one 2* cover. Doesn't mean I'll be placing higher than that, of course... it just took extra effort to maintain. "Got to stay within 200 and 500... fight this guy, but not that guy, he'll give me too many points... ah damn, someone lost to me and now I'm rank 190!"
I do think you need to do something about the 3* covers, though. There are far too many and it's impacting on people's ability to level them up, especially as players will be able to jump from 2* to 3* much faster now (and some new players could even just start with 2* rosters and not have to worry about the awkward 1*-2* transitional phase). This will also speed up the core metagame's progression to 3*/4* covers only, which up until now was kinda steady.
Off the top of my head, you'd either have to radically alter the rewards system (the oft-mentioned "colour token" idea would be a good start; a special token that would grant one cover in the given colour, for any hero) or else collapse or break apart the star tiers, amalgamating 1* and 2* and moving some 3* into 4*, then starting to ramp up production of new 4* heroes.0 -

Previous was probably like:
50% 70 ISO
50% 140 ISO
Average of 105 ISO per match.
New is probably something like:
50% 70 ISO
25% 1* (100 ISO)
20% 140 ISO
5% 2* (250 ISO)
Average of 105 ISO (This is just example. I didn't actually do the math here)

With those figures, the average becomes 140 ISO. (Optimally, +30 to that figure for the non-skip bonus.)
Another thing: on the "Chance to win" scroller, only 2* covers appear. Now, I've had ISO rewards instead, which is fine - but was there no room on the ticker for 1* covers? It might be wise to remove the individual colour covers and just display one cover per character in that field.0 -

I actually kinda wish there was a subset of the 2*s and 1*s you could win from a given match. Say, this node will only give you Bagman, Daken, CStorm, Juggs, and MBW; this other node will give you Wolvie, Bullseye, OBW, Hawkeye, and IM35; etc. It'd be a somewhat interesting way to entice you to fight a certain battle rather than another.
As far as improving the 3* cover situation, I agree - and probably the best bet would be to provide some mechanism for the player to focus on a given 3* in a way that makes 13 covers likely within about a month (assuming that's about how long it takes to get the ISO to level one). I'll offer a few straw man suggestions:
* Let the player re-roll a given cover for 50-ish HP. The result is the same character, different color.
* Let the player choose the cover they win from a tournament for 200-ish HP.
* Let players trade covers within their alliance for an HP or ISO fee.
* Let players buy and sell covers on a world-wide market. (Bring on the cover brokers!)0 -
Oooh, I really like this change! I'll be hopefully able to finally max cover those handful elusive 2* I*'m still missing, and respec the ones for which I got **** covers. And then concentrate more on the 3*.0

Very nice change. I'm 150 days into the game so I don't really care about 2* covers anymore but it's still more fun to to get a 2* cover for a fighht than "just iso".
And I'll add my voice to the 3* situation that needs to be addressed. After those 150 day of active playing, I have exactly ONE 3* with 13 covers. Ok, it's CMag so I shouldn't complain but the rest of my 3* covers are all over the place. I got all 3* characters (18 unless I miscounted) and I got 7 covers per character on average. Unfortunately, 7 covers are too few to actually use a 3*. They only become useable with 10+ covers.0 -
I see 100 ISO is now a possible reward, so the actual rewards are now 70/100/140/1*/2*.
Has anyone gotten 250 ISO as a reward? That is basically the same as the 2* cover, so perhaps that ISO reward is possible as well.0 -

*d'oh* This just goes to show that I shouldn't do maths at 2am... you're right of course, I wasn't factoring in the percentage chance of each reward and just treating them as an equal 25% like the prologue node rewards.0 -
I love these reward changes, and they don't even benefit me. All my 2-stars are maxed, but even so it reminds me of the earlier stages of the game when you could get cover rewards for fights. I love it!
Now as a next step, could we maybe ask that when a mission gives 500 iso, there is a chance for a 3-star? That would equal out in terms of iso,and also allow us some better progression in the 3-star area. Especially since there are so many now, and getting more all the time.0 -
