I really don't see the big deal with being offended by a name.

It's really only as powerful as you want it to be.

What's wrong with minors seeing the name? They either recognize its significance or they don't. If they do, it's because they learned about him in school. Where we deliberately teach about him.

Should I be offended by @Khanwulf or @Khanman07? Genghis khan did horrible things too.

As a Catholic, I am offended by Henry, Edward, Elizabeth and William. And also Orange.

So where should we stop? For me, the above names conjures up persecution and genocide as much as a name like Hitler.

Again, where should we stop? Maybe we should ban all pronouns as ingame names.

By the way, Stalin and Mao killed more people than Hitler.

And since Hitler was democratically elected by the Germans, maybe we should ban handles like German and Germany too, because they voted for that racist to lead them, directly causing the catastrophe known as World War 2. Then again, Britain and France are to blame for that absolutely punitive Treaty of Versailles which wreck Germany post-WW1, resulting in the collapse of the Wermacht Govt, thus allowing that racist H* guy to be elected. So I blame the British and French govt for them. Better ban Britain, France, British, French, etc too from game handles.

Yes, my wall of text argument sounds silly right? Which is how I feel about people feeling offended by names of dead people because of the deeds they had done.

"Sticks and Stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me" seem to be less practised in the new millenium.

I suppose if I HAVE to choose a side between Nazis and SJWs; I choose SJWs. But I suspect that most of us are willing to meet in the middle.

I'm going to niggle here and say it's not a choice of Nazis or SJWs. It's a choice of a family name that a very evil man had, and SJWs.

Again, I point to the fact that there's zero evidence he's actually a Nazi. There's an irony here in condemning someone based on a family name. You might say that's kinda what a Nazi would do.
