@Brigby I don't want to push you guys to release content before it is ready.

You can butter that toast however you like but you've been doing exactly that, pushing.

I have admit that this is a good analogy, but in that same note ... if the kitchen equipment isn't working right, are you willing to settle for gazpacho? or will you be still asking for hot soup even if they tell you that the stove is being worked on? Because that is exactly what Brigby pretty much pointed out above... you got the Gazpacho and ya still ain't happy because it didn't come with a side of bread even though you've been told that the oven isn't working yet.

Typically yes, but restaurants are a faster service industry that relies on quickly resolved problem solving. What Oktagon has, isn't exactly that... but I do agree that something to keep our interests is good... that brings me to the following.

Give us a ToS or a HoD event that actually has decent prizes rather than a constant flow of RotGP.

By "decent" you mean what? Mythics? If so for standard events, then no!

For Legacy events? I am actually on board with that idea. Granted the newer players will likely not stand a chance but at least the standard events aren't creating a continually expanding powerbase.

Create a mythics for crystals sale to keep us interested. [...sic...]  Give us all a free elite pack.  Put some old cards up for sale at rates that reflect the legacy aspect of the card.

Legacy only for any of these options.

     Offer a discount on crystals.

This has a ton of merit TBH ... I think that this app game is only app game I've played that didn't come with a specific heavily discounted one time crystal offer (offered once a year and for as long as that year goes). I play legendary and it offers a one time 75% off on X amount of crystals; final price is set at $19.99 of course but you get a ton of crystals. Anyways, with the holidays coming I think this would be a good idea but it needs to be reasonably priced. Not something that only the whales could partake and leave lesser spending players behind. But having said that, I think a conversion offer could be made for F2P players to have access to. X jewels converts into X crystals or vice versa .... Not exactly sure what the conversion rate is, but I think such a thing would allow F2P players options to reach various Jewel or crystal goals during the holiday and be able to partake in the offers D3 may provide. Just sayin'

I really can't stand the quoting system on this site.. or maybe I just don't know how to use it well.

Anyway, the rewards for Trial of Strength and the Elsepth event were 300 mana jewels in platinum.  I think it was like 80 mana jewels for top 2 coalition?  Rewards scale down by about 1/2 per bracket from there.  Much better rewards than RotGP and something to mix up the monotony.  Presumably since they ran ToS with G3, N3, and L3 they could just leave all 3 nodes as colorless with little effort.  Again, minimal effort for some fresher content and better prizes.

I would also love having some legacy events returned with set specific mythics.  What possible reason could they have for not bringing back Avacyn's Madness in all of it's mythicy glory? Are people really wasting crystals on these sets?  Do they not want the community to have fun events to compete for cards that are mostly useless in the current block?

On the crystal sale, they used to do this from time to time.  Then they just stopped about a year and a half ago for some reason.

And not exactly sure what you meant by buttering the toast... lol. But I have never pushed D3 or Hibernum to get new cards or even the booster crafting system to us.  Even the OP was simply asking for some communication so we can set accurate expectations.  I was just asking for some tasty vitals while we wait.  And I am fine with Gazpacho... I think... man this analogy is getting confusing.

I'd love to see legacy planewalker specific events. give us an event where we have to use N1 or G1 and see who comes out on top

This is a really cool idea. Planeswalker Arena was fun. Having an event of this type where the 5 basics PW are mandatory would be awesome

Hmmm... Actually... Individual events for each basic would be great. I don't know if I've seen Planeswalker Arena, but have a "Nodes of Power" version where you were locked into the 5 basics would be great. But I was also just thinking... My earlier idea of having training grounds have 5 separate colour nodes and then a locked node in the middle... You could do a version with the the separate colour nodes being only the 5 basics too, you have to play all those before you can pick who you _really_ want to play with.

@Brigby how about some Planeswalker Arena buttered toast? Give us a break from Return of the God Pharoah. Maybe let us play Avacyn's Madness as a coalition event instead of RotGP.

    Back to Ixalan...

I would be very interested to hear from the Development team on how they plan on handling some of the new mechanics and themes from Ixalan.

-Will the flip cards work similarly to the flip cards from Innistrad?
-How will you handle enrage mechanics when blocking is out of the player's control?
-How will the Development Team push the tribal theme in Ixalan?
-Will the team be implementing treasure tokens? Will they be similar to the Fabricate mechanic?

Hopefully once they announce when to expect it that we can also be given a timeline on when they will start revealing much of what you asked. Good questions by the way. kudos

I think I've veering into off topic category, but if We're spitballing interesting event ideas:

Locked node/set - Only PW from a specific set are allowed (as locked nodes).  In addition, only cards from that set alone are usable.  5 Origins PW using only Origins cards.  The BFZ/OGW PW with only BFZ/OGW cards next.  Etc, etc.

I'm not sure how the standard restriction ability was coded, but presumably it would be modular enough to allow for set restrictions that we have not experienced thus far.  Mono set restrictions I think have some promise for quirky fun.

Regardless of this, I do have mono-set restriction self-imposed mini-challenges planned for myself.

    I would add:

-Are you considering altering Huatli to be in Naya colors, now that three-color planeswalkers are a thing, to enable a planeswalker that can fully utilize the cards associated with the Sun Empire?

Or that tri colored dinosaur ... the possibilities.

I know that we're all bored with the current rotation of events. However, I'm guessing that other events need a fixing or the files are lost or something. If it was a simple fix, I'm pretty sure they'd give us what we're asking for. They're very obviously putting in work.
