Multiple gambit, different one selected on next fight

As many others I built two different gambit. One is champed, the other is 0/0/5.
When I play with the 0/0/5 I get the other one selected each time on next battle and I have to go through 80% of my roster to reselect it. Should the first one not stay selected?
