With boosts, you can trigger it in the first round if you wanted too, but I'd think that honestly, in the long run, most people will use maxed IM40, Maxed BW Grey suit and Maxed Rag. that's the ultimate combo if youi ask me. That's the only team I skip. they can generate mass gems and cascades in about 3 or 4 turns with massive damage to go with it.

    The AI does seem to have an affinity for it, but it doesn't matter much. It's 2 more than Yellow btw (maxed out Yellow takes 11, while Green would take 13). So even with boosts you're looking at an average of 3 turns to use it. The main strike does the same damage as Red, and the secondary strikes do 1/2 that. And it doesn't generate any gems like Red/Yellow do -- which is why they're so popular, really.

    Hey IceIX, if I have covers in the cache prior to the update, is losing them a possibility?
  • So, IceIX, did you look into the issue with not receiving Iso-8s? It will be fixed in this patch?

    Only if the time would expire on them in the changeover. There's nothing that would force them out of the cache.

    Still unsure. After hours/weekend over at Demiurge and a bit too much to look at in the changelog to sort it out myself. It's on the list to look into still.

    I hope this isn't another forced update... the game is just too big for a lot of mobile data plans.

    I think the ui change is for the best. It's one of those things right now that just isn't familiar but if it had always been this way I wouldn't think twice about it.

  • So far the patch looks great. I'm getting a sound effect when I tap the powers even though I have the sound turned all the way down. I'll put it in the bugs forum. Otherwise, it looks really sleek. Good work.

    There don't seem to be any tiny updates, it downloads 125 MB every time I patch from the play store.

  • R42 finally hit when I got home last night. I love all the UI updates with the possible exception of the new power activation UI. Maybe it's just too new and I need to give it time. I'd much prefer numeric display to the percent bars. I know I can get to that by clicking on the button, but then I have to click again depending on the color I want to see for that character. For example, it'd be nice to see without clicking through that I've queued enough AP for, say, 3 Symbiote Snares and I only need 1 more purple to make it 4 snares.

    You can still click on a gem of the appropriate color to see how much AP you have, or slide the characters to the right to see for them all.
  • True, but if I want info on a specific power I either need it memorized or to use the new power display. I'd like the bars replaced with the Current AP / Required AP fraction for each power (though I realize there may not be enough room to squeeze it in and still be legible, especially for smaller screen devices). If it showed "15/4" instead of a flashing purple bar, I'd know the exact status at a glance.
