Im done.
With the horrid customer service and now restrictions on gaining cp, i fold. Why should i buy?
Ive been buying for 3 years. Ive stuck it out through xforce. Oml. Horrible boss modes. Glitches almost daily, constant restructuring but im done.
Never have i seen a company that doesnt know its own product, is completely out of touch with its consumer base, and has the worst customer services ever. Now on top of that you want to cater to the litlle guy. The non spender. By giving the shaft to everyone else.
Well im done. See if those free players can keep your bills paid and this game going. Sounds morelikely you'll end up killing the game and be forced to chew your wallet for sustenance.
Makes me sick

I don't think that OP should be flagged for stating his opinion. Seriously, we lost the "LOL" button but people still abuse the Flag button? Anyway...
I bought during Anniversary, which was the first time (other than VIP) I've bought since at least before Vaulting/OML nerf, whichever came first.
I did it to immediately enhance my game experience, and coupled with double ISO, to try to get over the 4* ISO deficit finally.
I've got buyers remorse for sure. I'm from the console game generation. You buy a game, and you got the game you bought (that's changing too, I'm aware). None of this constant changing to make more money. Some of it is good, some is bad. Some is probably necessary. Some seems unnecessary.
I don't know what to make of the new changes yet. I don't know if I'll like them or if I won't. I do know that I've disliked many changes in my nearly two years into the game and its hard for me to put money into a game that can immediately and decisively change my enjoyment of said game.
I don't begrudge anyone for their opinions on changes to the game, or on their opinions of buying/supporting the game. I just think, for me, that transaction based gaming isn't something I want to support anymore. No hard feelings, I understand people have to make their livings.
I'm a VIP because of the health regeneration. Everything else is a bonus. Even buying the $2/month package takes away that regen, so I don't see myself going that route. I've gone back and forth on this many times, because at the root of it, without all the additional ****, I love the game.
Now this same style is invading my console games (NBA 2k18 for an example) and I'm afraid it will ruin them for me. I want to keep my $60 game at that price and not feel pressured to pay extra to compete.
I've "paid" for this game many times over. Enough is enough for me. I'm going to take the game I've already paid for and just enjoy it as such. If I fall behind, which I likely will, by having to change my play style and also getting less resources than accustomed to, then so be it. If that causes me to eventually put the game down for good, so be it. Its been a good run, hopefully it continues!9 -
Agreed.
I remember picking up a brand new console game for 30$. Lol. #old
Over the last 3+years ive spent enough on mpq to buy a nice used car. But, like you, i really enjoyed the game. But its nothing like what it was, and much of the new, is unnecessary or undesirable.
Of all the things they could have attempted to fix, they pick the one thing that actually seemed to work properly.
Theres a long list of issues with the game. Classic dilution. Toons not working properly in team ups like panther, a cover swap solution, iso debt issues, broken events, reward structures, constant update and app crash issues. Etc etc.
Hmmm. Instead we'll pat ourself on the back for releasing old rehashed boosts, and "fixing" things that arent broken.

In a way, im kinda hoping this will be a death blow to this game...it would gimme an excuse to find something else to do, i feel like it really just isnt worth it anymore0

I'm guessing it's win based PvP and if so
Sorry, I had to pick myself off the floor from laughing so hard about it being the one thing that seemed to be working properly. You're a joker. 10/10, would read again.4 -
Glad i could brighten your day sunshine3

I'm happy for the beneficial effects that the wins based PvP will have for smaller rosters.
But I'm also in total agreement with you that I have no reason to spend on the game anymore. With all wins being the same, and MMR effectively scaling my opponents level as I advance my roster, I might as well just stick with where I am. That makes me a little bit happy, but not in the way that the developers probably wanted.
There are so many ways that they could have tweaked the implementation that would have helped most people without penalizing the people trying to break into the 5* tier. But they didn't. And the net result is going to be apathy among a lot of veterans, and time and money spent elsewhere.5 -
For the people invoking console games, I want to remind you that "you got what you paid for" used to mean bugs didn't get fixed.
And that as recently as the 90s, $70-100 for a new game was perfectly normal.0 -
They announced like 6 things yesterday. Which 'one thing' are you referring to...

Not a habit aes but i had spurts of disposable income that i chose to use here. Im not a buy room regular or anything.
The claim that you want to help smaller rosters and then you remove the most lucrative reward making it accessible to only the top 1% is a ludicrous and mostly **** statement.
If you really wanted to help them youd leave the cp in progression rathet than placement, implement cover swaps on all 5* and fix the classic dilution problem

Can you someone please explain to me what this is exactly referring to? Is it the PvP Wins change? What is this CP restriction? Confused....0
-
Its a combination of long frustrations. The lack of adequate customer service, unneeded changes when other problems are ignored for years, lots of things.0
-
No more buying IS the right thing to do to express your frustration with the changes made. Unfortunately a shiny new OP 5* has been released which all the whales will be chasing and I can't see the buy clubs slowing down anytime soon.
Nothing changed with buy clubs despite the outrage over the OML nerf and I doubt it will change now.

It wont. You're right about that. They just keep shelling out0
