I can see why the Toxic elite wouldn't care for this, it doesn't "guarantee" them a top spot.

Oh Rly?  Now I really want this type of event!  Prove to all the naysayers that a great player isn't just great because he has a good set of clubs.

On  the other hand this does sound like a cycling nightmare.

playing against the same configurations gets old. Tezz with BTB and SA is miserable. Kiora with waterveil and Hydra with a side of prismatic array is miserable. Anything involving deploy or the pigliviarich triumvirate isn't fun. This will make the ogs happy, but we're losing numbers. Meh.
Agreed. This is a card balance issue, of the type that papering over the cracks with the Standard/Legacy split obviously didn't solve.
Just a thought... what if some,  not all, but what if some of these legacy events prohibited mythics and masterpieces as part of the building challenge.  Seems to me that over the past year,  the primary complaint about power creep sources from many of these earlier mythic releases.  Can't see why such events couldn't work.  @Ohboy did an experiment awhile back using no mythics,  (or rares too if I remember correctly) to beat TotP in all colors and he did with resounding success.  Pretty good thread from what remember.
The last time this was suggested some people screamed blue murder.

That is a bit disappointing to hear. But then again, when did the forum ever not scream blue murder over any change? Drop number of events: scream blue murder. Drop Mythics as prizes for events: scream blue murder. Adding Standard events: scream blue murder. Introduced Jewels for elite packs: scream blue murder. Announced that dupes with be automatically converted to runes when (and if) Booster crafting comes out: scream blue murder. Making HoR Legacy: scream blue murder... You get the gist. lol.

Still though, a mythic/masterpiece-free legacy event, even if a minor one, would be fun IMHO. I'd even go so far as to say that Mythics as a prize for this category would be worthy. I can see why the Toxic elite wouldn't care for this, it doesn't "guarantee" them a top spot. Anyways, I do see your point @shteev People don't like change in here.

Naah, not really. I can't provide evidence to back up my claim, and so I completely retract it, and apologise.

I'm sure the rest of the Toxic Elite would go for this idea.... Pauper format has long been championed in the suggestions forum, and most of us like the deckbuilding challenge, I think. We're not such terrible bastards, really, it's just the name that make us sound awful. Honestly I don't know why we decided to call ourselves the Toxic Elite, we're all teddy bears if you rub our bellies the rigth way.

Fun fact: the elitest jerks are, for the most part, very friendly and helpful. I think they just got tired of answering the same questions over and over. That's why @span_argoman 's FAQs are so helpful. You'll find some of the toxic elite lurking on Reddit where they happily put in some community service interacting with new players who, as we all agree, are not well represented on the forums. I also see some of the elite keeping spirits up on the Facebook page.

We did not decide to call ourselves this, Steve, the term was coined by another.

However your point stands -- we love new and mid-level players -- they let us see the game though whole new eyes.

Right now some of the best players in the game are working on Pauper deck ideas that can stand up to legacy decks in Platinum and Gold to share with players in TP9's community so they don't feel like they are at such a disadvantage. If anyone else would like to contribute, please PM those ideas to me and I will send you a link of the album when it's done so you can share it with your coalition(s).

Hi Everyone. I posted this in another thread, but I plan on discussing the change to Hour of Relevation with the team this week, and I will be sure to present them the community's feedback. I can't guarantee that any decisions to revert changes will be able to be applied to this week's run of it, but I will bring up that point during the discussion, as well.

What about the requests for fixes to Return of the god Pharoah?  Making that Legacy would go over much better, as would just running a different coalition PvE event instead so that its less boring.  Also, when will this legacy event that starts tomorrow be available to join?  If not for the forums I would never know there was an event scheduled
