    No, but complaining about not being able to beat the 5* version when your roster isn't strong enough to win certain encounters is futile. He is a 5* after all, and a quite strong one if left uncheck. 

    Like I said, if you are a casual player, you shouldn't be so annoyed by his animations since you won't encounter him as much as a competitive player. And if you want to compete you must have Gamora & Grocket... or else you are at a serious disadvantage.
