Is it possible to play as a f2p player and make real progress in this game?

    Over £2,000 out of my pocket sunk into this game over time. That's why i stopped playing a long time ago. I come back here periodically to see if any of the dozens of massive issues have been fixed yet.
    It's easy to waste a lot of money when the prices are so disgusting and the grind is so brutal.

    I am f2p, I am gold tier now. Since I started I realized you got be at the top of you wanna be a f2p. So I was a top5 bronze, them a top5 silver and now a top5 gold. I tried to find a top coalition to play aiming to get free myhthics to be able to continue as f2p. When I entered a Top10 team, rewards were nerfed. No big deal, I still a top player just for the competition. At the beginning I was a grinder, now I only play coalition events. But definitely you can be a f2p in this game.

    It is good to hear that dropping some money doesn't help the drop rates.  That was the one thought that almost made me stop being f2p.

    but like many have said already, it is totally doable.  I've been free to play the whole time since almost the beginning of the game.  Progression is obviously slower (saving up resources), but you can be competitive and still enjoy it without spending anything.
