Only two women in the 5 star tier?!?!?!?!?  Out of 19.  Let's have some more devs!

How about Jessica Jones.  Certainly Captain Marvel when her movie comes out.  Hela for the new Thor?  She looks amazing.

Haha, maybe another Storm variant or Scarlet Witch.  Make She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel relevant again?

Or lots of great X-Women.  Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Emma Frost, Magik, Or some spider-ladies, Black Cat, Silk, Anyone remember Amazing Spider Girl?

America Chavez, probably not popular enough for 5 star...

And then there is Moon Girl to team with Devil Dino!!!

What do y'all think?

Scarlet Witch definitely deserves a 5* variant, as all other Avengers have (except Vision, but SW is cooler). Hela would be a good option too, since we're probably going to get a 5* Thor as well. He needs a worthy adversary. Jessica should be a 4*, just like Luke and Iron Fist. We're definitely not going to get more new X-Men, so we might as well get that out of our minds. As for Carol, she's already got 3 variants in the game. I know Spiderboy has 5 and Wolvie has 4, but, personally, I don't like a roster full of the same characters. I want someone new or at least a non-lazy duplicate.

Hela would be awesome. A lot of fun powers can be created with her :)

We do have a lot of Cpt Marvel's, but she went from "bl2h" to "s3riously?!" to "4oly tiny kitty, this chick's awesome!" I'm ok with repeat characters so long as they keep improving their usability. Seems like a character these days needs awesome active and passive abilities to be with anything.

It is a bummer Fox owns so many characters. So no Rogue, no Emma Frost, No Kitty Pryde, probably no Domino.

And on that note, we probably won't see Cable either. What about just making a 5* Josh Brolin character? He'll have a Cybernetic eye, futuristic gatling gun in one hand, Infinity Guantlet on the other. Passive: if Cyke and Jean are on the opposing team, Josh Brolin gets sent to his room for three turns. Josh Brolin then calls Death crying, Death downs Cyke and Jean, lol.

I doubt it would happen but if you were to have a 5* Carol then her Binary identity would be most appropriate.

Based on the MCU, and as already stated, the following ladies are the likeliest:

    5* Hela
    5* Captain Marvel
    5* Scarlet Witch
5* Wasp (to go with 5* Antman when that movie is out next year)

I'd love to see a 5* Maria Hill. But the undoubted one - and if I was a dev I'd release her during the Anniversary - is 5* Aunt May.
Problem is the 3* Vision, Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch are already pretty much MCU versions before they decided to make them into 5* characters (or...before 5*s existed, even)

They could always give QS his original costume back, I suppose =P

America Chavez is a great suggestion. She's a cool character with a diverse array of powers.

Jessica Jones is a no-brainier. Come on, MPQ!

With X-Women off the table (grr)*, I'd add:

Crystal: if they have to put in more Inhumans, one who controls the ancient elements could make for a fun addition.

Monica Rambeau (currently code named Spectrum): she can transform into any form of energy, from sound waves to radiation.**

Elsa Bloodstone: a monster hunter with a bad attitude.**

White Tiger: a young martial artist with ties to an ancient tiger god.

Hellcat: former child star Patsy Walker trained to become a super-hero and joined the Avengers.

    * seriously, no Rogue, Emma, Kitty, Dazzler, Dani Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Magik, Jubilee, Boom Boom, Domino, Hope, Meggan, Polaris, Lilandra, etc? Boo!

** any other Nextwave fans out there?

Magik is a clear 5*. She survived a demonic dimension only to later rule it. She's grade A bad ****. You could make a case for Kitty as either a 5* or 4*. She's survived some **** and is tough as nails. Remember, she's the one who warned everyone about the Days of Future Past. She was still alive in all that! That's a 5*. But that is a "future" so currently she's probably only a 4* with 5* potential. Emma Frost, I love her, but she's a villain, and not a successful one (as most villains are). Based on powers she should be a 5* but based on how she's been written, she's a 4*. Sure, Emma has been thru some ****, but every time something major goes down the writers treat her like an accessory rather than a main piece. Even in IvsX, she was a driving force, but was written more as a supporting character, for whatever reasons. Rogue has gotten more love in recent years, and is extremely powerful. I think she'd get 5* treatment, maybe. Dazzler shut down Black Bolt. Think about that. But that's kind of a niche shut down, so she's a 4*.

5* Ladies? Classic Scarlet Witch (since the 3* is our MCU variant). Wasp (though I kinda want Hank/Janet "Ant-Man & The Wasp" to be a single 5* character). I'd be down for a Binary Carol Danvers. Maybe Quasar (since the newest one is female)?

I could come up with a much longer list of characters, but I'd put a lot of them at the 4* tier. Black Cat, Spider-Girl, Jessica Jones, Rogue, Magik, Kitty, America Chavez, a Shuri version of Black Panther, so on and so forth.

I mean, the game already has a lot of the most prominent and well known female characters, and it's hard to add to the 5* tier without it feeling hamfisted. Like, another Gamora or Elektra or Storm or Squirrel Girl is more likely to produce a reaction of "ugh another variant" instead of "yay another 5* female!"

Fox has the rights to use those characters in MOVIES only. Has nothing to do with games. If it did, we wouldn't have gotten most of the X-Men already in the game in the first place.

Nextwave was ace but I loved Monica back when she was Captain Marvel in the Avengers before then. Her power set is 5* level easy - she once overloaded the defence systems of Thanos space station and can fly at the speed of light!

    This is true.
The problem is that because Marvel does not have the Movie or TV rights, they have pulled back on making X-Men comics, in favor of properties they own entirely (Avengers, Inhumans, Defenders, etc.).
The games, comics, movies, and TV are all about cross promotion, which is why every time there's a new movie, show, or DVD release we get a new tie-in character. You'll notice that we didn't get anything new when Logan, Deadpool, or X-Men Apocalypse were in theaters, and the X-Men we do have look nothing like the ones in the movies.
This isn't to say we can't get X-Men; obviously, we have several. It means there is little motivation to add them, and more motivation to add others that they can cross promote and profit from.

There are signs that maybe Marvel is softening. Marvel Future Fight got X-Men in June (including Rogue), LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 has Kang (still don't understand the logic of him being an FF character) as a major villain.

Of course on the flip side Marvel v Capcom Infinite has glaring admissions still.

Tabby could work with a good nuke, an AoE, and something like an upgraded version of Moonstone's black. Like the theme song says: "Tabby! Is gonna steal all your stuff!" Her power set is probably too simple for a 5*, tho.

Hela would probably be a boss character, not playable, but you never know.  I wouldn't be surprised to see a 4* Valkyrie to tie in with Ragnarok and the 5* Thor that basically everyone has been predicting for months.  With Captain Marvel in 2019 we might see a 5* version of her then (will we still be playing this game in two years?  Don't answer that.), but it would be pretty hard to top the 4* version.

I just read that Marvel is preparing to bring the Fantastic Four back into play in the comics, so maybe in a few months we could get a properly powerful 5* Invisible Woman.

Lots of X-Men characters, as mentioned, but leaving them aside it's hard to come up with too many more Marvel women that are iconic and/or powerful enough to warrant the 5* treatment.  Lots of great 3* and 4* options are in the mix, like the current Beetle (in comics only so far), Valkyrie, Nebula, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, Sif, America Chavez, Jocasta, Typhoid Mary, Betty Brant (Red She-Hulk, worst superhero name ever... fun character).

Snowbird would be awesome, but I'm pretty sure she's not even alive, and also I'm probably one of like twenty people that fondly remembers the old Alpha Flight comics.

I will note that while we didn't get new characters for those movies, we did get thematic events for at least two.

T You'll notice that we didn't get anything new when Logan, Deadpool, or X-Men Apocalypse were in theaters, and the X-Men we do have look nothing like the ones in the movies.

You may recall that Kate Bishop was released around the same time as the Apocalypse movie.  Her power that stops healing makes a lot more sense belonging to a horseman of Apocalypse rather than a Hawkeye (like, seriously).  I always wondered if those powersets were meant to be a tie-in, but it got nixed and they just shoe-horned them onto Kate.

Also 5-star tier doesn't necessarily have to have world-ending powers.  I mean Daredevil and Hawkeye aren't going to blow up a planet or anything and they still made the top tier!

    Anyhoo, MPQ NEEDS MORE DAZZLER!!!
