I spend less time per day, and that's a good thing.

Three years in, I'm still playing like crazy every day, but I feel like with the PVE changes to SCL-based scaling, I'm not spending less time per day doing my clears. Maybe I'm spending less time in PVP because I've set my squad goals to be 700+ instead of worrying about hitting 1200+ (although I do still hit that whenever possible).

Anyway I think it's good, having less time crunch so I can focus on other stuff outside the game.

Is it the same for you or no?

Yeah, following the bug with local data being wiped, it was really hard to find the willingness to log in. I thought maybe I could at least summon up the patience to sit through DDQ, but couldn't even manage that for more than a day. I've been trying to keep bumping my daily login counter, but I know that I've missed at least 2 or 3 days in the last week already. Right now, I'm just hanging out for a Lockjaw info dump here on the forums to see if that can entice me back but at the rate things are going, I think I'm done.

!!! Three years and 1200 in PVP is not easy for you, wow, PVP progression should really get changed.

@Lucifier Well, 1200+ is relatively easy if you're able to do a few hops, but I rarely even have 20 solid minutes free to attempt a single hop (especially on weekends), so it's more my busy adult life than the game itself.

Soce knows how to get 1200 easily and has the roster for it. He has however posted several times before that it's RL timing that stops him from doing so, since he mainly plays during commute.
If he had the time and the inclination, he knows he can join a BC and score 1200 at will.

BC = BattleChat : outside game (mainly Line-based) shield and hop co-ordination.

It makes sure you know when the big points qs are out and then when they # so you can hit them without them losing points.

I am. I've been playing for almost 2 years, and I'm at 3* level, slowly leveling up my 3*s, while gaining a 4* cover once in a while. My 3*s range from level 170 to 195, my 4*s have 4 covers or less (max level 94, so they're not really useful yet). I used to play the PvE game loyally (at least 3 hours a day), day in day out, to gain the progression rewards and try to end in the top 200 to gain one or two more 3* covers (if playing at rank 8... at rank 7 or lower, I'll just gain useless 2* covers, and considerably less HP). I never liked the fact that I had to play each match 6 times for the points (to be able to gain both the progression rewards and have a chance at a useful placement reward), but I kept going anyway. But now, with the recent level changes, the opponent team starts at level 200, and quickly rises to 350... which results in considerably more matches that I will lose. So I would have to play quite a few more matches (in the hopes of winning a few more) to get the same results. But I have a day job too, so I just don't have time for that. So instead of spending my 3 hours a day losing matches and ending up with half of what I used to get, I decided to no longer even try to do the entire PvE event... which basically gives me 3 extra hours a day!
I never really enjoyed the PvP side, so right now, the only thing I'm still doing is the Deadpool Dailies.
I guess I have to thank the development team for giving me so much more time to spend on other things and other games.

I am with OP. I play less but I enjoy more. My main gameplay is DDQ and PvE. I can't "force" myself to start the new PvP season. I know I am missing out on rewards but the PvP has been such a disappointment over the years that i don't miss that part of the grind at all.

I think the SCL changes combined with the frankly ludicrous team (even unboosted) of 4*RG+4*Gamora+Medusa means PvE clears are very quick. If I know I have a busy week I drop down to SCL7,

I power up to 800 in pvp in the closing hours because as with real life I'm rubbish at planning anything

Soce is OP, MPQR7. I find it silly to call people you know from in game by their different forum name
RL  is real life. Common term.
BC is BattleChat or Checkroom. Where you meet with friendlies to avoid hitting each other unshielded, pass on shield info and provide info on when to queue someone.

No major shift for me yet.  I've dropped to SCL7 because SCL8 generally took me longer to clear than before (only 10 - 20 minutes but still).  In SCL7 it's probably about 10-20 minutes faster most days, certainly not as life changing as the 5* crowd, especially when I'm essentially paying for it.  This isn't to say that the SCL based scaling change is bad, I still think it's totally the right way to go.  I'm hoping once I get my recently 12 covered Thano5 and 5* Panther up to L360 it gets fast enough for me to return to SCL8.  With my current ISO debt it might be a while before I can commit ISO to them though.

I find it silly to not use their forum name.  You'd be confused if I knew Lucifer from real life and called him Jeff (I don't know him but it's an example).  If you are trying to talk to people on the forum, use the name the people on the forum know....

My overall time spent on the game is less, and I'm happy for it.  I'm willing to take slightly less good prizes in SCL7 because it turns PvE into a 30-40 min endeavor instead of the 1.5 hr it used to with roster-based scaling.  I've used the free time mostly to do some extra freelance work, but I've also been able to chip away at some console titles that have been languishing for years.

Similarly, since the end of cupcakes and only 15cp @ 1200.  I'm doing 1-shield @ 900 and calling it.  Thus I am also spending less time.  Fortunately or unfortunately my free time has only been cannibalized by Marvel Contest of Champions where after 2 years i'm still making roster progress.

I started out on the forums years ago as MPQR7 because I was looking for a new alliance, but I didn't want my original alliance to know  :o But now it doesn't really matter. I used to do a lot of hip hop performances as Soce, The Elemental Wizard, but now I just work full-time, spend time with my family and play MPQ... and sometimes make DJ mixes for fun.

    I'm spending more time.

Used to just PVP when the game spat out more ISO and rewards for PVP and most people ignored pve unless it was a new release or sniping brackets/missing events to get an noob bracket next time.

Now the whole game is PVE top loaded, I barely have time to PVP as I have to do 5 clears per day min, usually 6.

I'm sure I used to be married but that all seems so long ago now.
