In another thread I said I hoped LockJaw got the 'Guard Dog' passive from the Mutation. It looks like they not only listened but made it even better.

Cardusa just got the perfect 3rd because one the board fills with specials the enemy won't dare clear any of them unless they want to take massive damage.

He'll also work very nicely with Mohawk too.

Seams pretty decent. Will have to wait until i see max level stats before i make an opinion tho :)
Why not just compare them to the level 70 stats of anyone else you like? The ratios between any two powers will be the same at any level.

Ok, here. Level 270, 5 covers
~16464 HP (same as war machine, whatever that is)
Loyal Protector: ~1611 damage, resist 100% damage
Resonance Frequency (U): ~2672 damage, destroy 7 random tiles in enemy's strongest color
Bring Out The Best (Y): ~1541 burst healing
Quasi-Sonic Whisper (G): ~1806 damage, destroy middle two rows
Hair Meddle (P): Swap 16 pairs of tiles, steal enemy A/P/S and strengthen stolen tiles by ~269
Some Say The World: ~1624 damage, A/P/S tile strength ~117
Cull The Weak: ~1626 damage and stun other enemies for 1 turn
The Dog That Bit You: Creates 8 Charged tiles. ~993 damage each turn if there's a charged tile in the enemy's strongest color.

How did you arrive at those numbers anyway? What's the ratio?

    Im pretty bad at math.

in general you look at the level 70 numbers and merely multiply by 2 to get pretty close to the level 270 numbers aside from health.

For scaling values in abilities it's very close to 1.95x, for health it's about 3.7x. You can take any character at 70 and 270 and divide to figure that out. Use in-game numbers wherever possible, though, several of the forum character descriptions are incorrect.

So on my sandboxed account I have him fully covered and maxed, he's a bit of a weird character, but his animation on his green ability is godlike LOL. I like him at a 535 build personally. He works pretty well with Goddess and Medusa.

If those numbers are accurate they seem really low. The most damage he can put out with a single ability is <3000?

His damage output is terrible, for both his blue and his green. His passive requires enemy special tile matches. There are better places to spend 9ap on a blue ability, no matter what inhuman comes out the damage isn't worth 9ap. His only decent power is green, his passive doesn't do too much damage on that either at max level.

I'm pretty confident to within a few %. I'm assuming the damage is low due to his apparently very favorable interactions with Medusa.

Jaedenkaal is fairly on point with his numbers.  Here's what I have with a rostered 270 lockjaw:

    Stats

    16465 Health
    Match damage - Y85/B74/P12/R13/G65/B11

    Loyal Protector (Yellow)
    3 covers = 50% dmg resist and 631 damage
    4 covers = 75% dmg resist and 973 damage
    5 covers = 100% dmg resist and 1609 damage

The Dog that Bit You (Green)
    3 covers = 6 random tiles and 378 dmg
    4 covers = 6 random tiles and 990 dmg
    5 covers = 8 random tiles and 990 dmg

    Royal Escort (Blue)
Not going into each permutation because I'm lazy. But I can confirm that the only thing that goes down with 4 or 3 covers in blue is the amount of damage, heal, or special tile strength.  Medusa swaps 16, Quake destroys up to 7, and Karnak stuns for 1 turn at cover levels 3-5.

    at 5 covers:
    Quake/Blue - destroys 7 tiles and 2705 damage
    KK/Yellow - 2490 burst heal
Black Bolt/Green - 1804 damage and middle 2 rows destroyed
    Medusa/Purple - Swap 16 tiles and improve strike/prot/attack by 365
Crystal/Red - Deal 1804 damage and create Red attack, Blue Protect and Black strike tile of 167 each
Karnak/Black - 3157 damage to lowest health enemy and stun all other enemies for 1 turn.

    Summary Opinion
Lockjaw is FUNNNNNNN.  Like, the most fun I've had with a character since Howard.  The passive animations are amusing but super quick, and that damage over time with Dog That Bit You adds up.  I ran him with Medusa (duh) and Blade and stuff dies fast while the team heals up.  I haven't yet tried with 4hor, but I agree with the person in this thread that if she is powered up, Lockjaw and IM40 would make quick work of many.

He's such a versatile 3rd, but as DrDevil Dino said, he is not easily worked into the Meta game.  He doesn't accelerate many toons, and his loyal protector dmg resist only stops match damage, though if he blocked all damage until the end of the turn, I think he would be a little OP.

Royal escort is the most fun, partly because calculating out which color will go is about as painful as using Gwenpool strategically for all possible situations, so you get a nice surprise when using is mostly.  And they all work well, though personally I like Quake and Medusa arrivals best (EDIT: note, brief animations for each Inhuman, just the effect).

Well worth getting if you enjoy the fun and play with a lot of special tiles, but not a must have 4.  Nonetheless, great job, D3.

EDIT - Can confirm, he works well with Mordo.  You can get a nice charged tile chain going.  If they are both boosted, it could be annoying to face.

I figured Medusa would be one of his best character compositions. I did try 4thor 535, Lock 535, Mordo 535. Full rainbow and a lot of charged tile generation. It was a fun team.

Edit: The animation on his green ability is so awesome. You can't help but smirk when he jumps across the screen.

Curious. The level 70 numbers for Kamala Khan, Medusa, Crystal, and Karnak have all changed since I looked a the cover in the reward preview. All increased, so I can hardly complain.

I've only used his blue in the loaner node so far, but it looks like it will preview which Inhuman is about to be summoned when you queue up the power.

If you have Kamala Kahn in your group and use Lockjaw's Royal Escort to summon Kamala Kahn you get a heal from the summoned Kamala Kahn and then another heal from your teammate Kamala Kahn b/c Lockjaw used a power to summon Kamala Kahn.

Lockjaw is fun, never knew who the dog was when I first saw it in X-Men TAS

I've seen all the summons and find it interesting to see characters not available for unlocking yet?

Can't wait to get the unlocking scene to complete his? Video.

sad Shield and inhumans not available on Netflix here. :(
