It took 11-12 tries, but my Lv135 4/1/1 Warmachine did it using +2 R/Y AP & +50% R/Y & B/P boosts.  It took a lot of luck (Thanos had quite a few yellow match-4's, he matched his own purple countdown the moment he created it and his green countdown was one turn from going off when he finally fell).  The token gave me a Medusa champ level.

Based on this match, IMO Warmachine's red really needs to either get a boost in damage or have the attack tiles get create on both player's turns. Especially after using her as an essential in the last PVE, Carol's black has a similar effect, but with guaranteed tiles & 6-8x the damage.

Beat it with my 2/3/1 level 131 Warmachine.  Took 7 tries and used +50 G/B boost, +100% all damage boost and +2 AP to all boosts.  It ended up costing me about 500 hp spent on all damage boosts but I would say a legendary token is worth 500 hp so I am happy.  Unfortunately it ended up being a Sandman lol but oh well. What was irritating was that in 3 of my 6 losses, I had him down to under 1000 health each time, the worst was when he made a miracle match 4 at 145 health left to barely beat me since his purple counter went away and left the match for him on the board that wasn't there before.  Curses and profanity followed...

I haven't lost a Crash in forever, and my 4*s are all fully covered, so I was shocked when I got thoroughly smacked around on my first three attempts. Then I realized my 4/5/4 War Machine was only level 90 (heh), and 6000 health wasn't going to cut it -- the match damage alone was crushing him.

Leveled to 133, he still lost the next three attempts, but it was really just a matter of trying over and over until I got a friendly (i.e. blue-heavy) board. Being able to fire blue twice for 5500 apiece made it an even fight. I was under 1000 health at the end, but got the win.

Reward: another C4rol champ level (now 321, my highest 4*) and a bonus Sandman.

Fourth try was the key for my 5/3/3 level 212 War Machine. I won with only 258 health left - luck was with me, as two match-fives dropped for me before I made my final board match, which let my strike tiles finish him off with not much room to spare. My reward was a nice Cloak & Dagger purple, bringing them up to 1/2/2.

Failed first time with my 3/0/5 WM at lvl 94 with R/Y, G/B and all boosts, raised to 140 and failed again with same boosts. ran out of all boosts so swapped to 100% dmg and won on third go. Not opened token yet.

Just to try out the fight I jumped in with my lvl. 111 4/3/3 War Machine, and much to my own amazement I won on my first try. Denied green first and foremost, purple when I could.

I was really lucky I have to admit, Whenever he fired his purple the CD tile got matched away in 1 or 2 turns, and on the final turn I had just 145 health remaining. Token went onto the pile (up to 89 now) and finally had a reason to pull from my vault for an extra WM blue (got that with 137 Tacos, along with another LT, a 4*, 55 Health Packs and the 10k Iso among others). In a few days I'll get another WM green from resupply and he'll be 4/4/4, so just one Bonus Hero cover away from 13/13, which is nice. It was a good day.  :)

It's been four days since I started trying to defeat Thanos in this sisyphean daymare. I'm 2/0/2, level 106, 6600 health. I know I've got no shot. I know he doesn't need to get a power off to down me. I know he hits like an unmoored freight train. I buy new boosts. I try again. I've dipped into the vault 45 times, trying to add on some blue. Three more chances tomorrow. I even bought an extra cover. I ... probably should have checked this thread before doing that. I got him down to about 150 health once. I suspect that was just to keep me in the game, keep me hoping, because hope? That's the most delicious thing Thanos can crush.
