Is there anyone out there who actually buys iso?

I'm really curious about this. The iso you get per dollar just seems so paltry that I can't imagine anyone actually buying it.

Yes, people buy ISO.  I've done it a couple times myself and seen it done by others in buy clubs.

maybe in the past, today i think your better off buying HP and using the Heroes for Higher to just convert HP to ISO

I've seen people casually mention they pull down between 30 and 40K ISO a day on average. I've never officially tracked my totals, but I think I come in closer to 20 to 25K per day on average, 30K on a great day.

At my worst, I can make the Mother Lode (78K ISO for $100) total in four days. That would be like forking over $25 per day. For those high earners, that would be like dropping $50 a day.

    If I were blowing $100, I would expect to bring at least a 4* from 70 to 270, if not a 5* from 255 to 450.

It's not always about the need though, if you are spending for CP and already have a massive HP stash then a little extra ISO might help more than the HP.

For a 100 dollars you should be able to champ at least a 5*
I'm guessing they do not change it because people still buy it. If nobody bought the ISO they would change how much you get for the ISO. They are a business and want to maximize profits. I would argue they could extract much more money from people with better ISO from a purchase but we do not have the numbers as to how much people are buying.

Mother Lode should be 1 million ISO

I've never bought ISO and never will at the current rate.

People must buy Iso or they would change or eliminate it.  That being said, I don't, and I doubt many people on the forums do.

And again speaking for myself, I make around 40K a day on average (not including Iso from shield clearance levels.)  So yeah, it's a terrible buy for me at least.

No way...$100 and you can't champ heroes with the amount.

Nope. I actually have been spending $2/month to support the game and get those sweet Shield Bonus Rewards... but I spend the $2 on HP and not ISO.

I've heard of big spenders that want iso buying cp, buying packs with the cp and selling the covers or champ rewarding with em to get iso...   I don't know if it nets more that way or not, but I was led to believe it may....

I'd have to believe the iso cost of a max champ is negligible compared to the 113 covers needed to level em...  so if max champ is your goal, you better spend it ALL on covers (getting the 1 million iso or so to champ 5* thanos is trivial compared to getting 113 covers for him...)

What surprises me is that there are still things left for whales to buy (short of just max champ dupes)

I did once back in the day before I knew how bad it was. To be fair it was before intercepts and the extra ISO in the DDQ so it was...marginally less bad.

If I need ISO these days I just spend some of my HP (which is usually fairly plentiful without buying any) on vault pulls. Champ levels give ISO plus other goods, and the pull plus adding all the extra levels gives a big chunk of SHIELD XP, which in turn leads to more ISO.

I'll add what I always say on these threads, though:

A: People are really bad with money. You don't even know.
B: The forums represent a small and disproportionately well-informed segment of the player population. I'd be willing to bet if you joined some random public alliances you'd get a whole bunch of CP rewards from people buying ISO.

    @Jarvind
agree with both A and B soooo much.
Even right now I'm in an iso pinch, so I'm evaluating how to turn some spare HP into ISO last minute if I have to.  I'm never considering buying it.....factoring champ rewards that's about 1.3 days of iso for me, not worth $100 when I'm basically F2P

@Jarvind That's very true. I know of mysterious alliances where very few members actually play, and the alliance placement rewards are low, but if you can join that alliance, you get a deluge of 7CP bonuses.

For me the price of ISO was set back when it was just 2* and 3* heroes.  Now it is just too expensive when I am trying to level up 4* characters.

Resurrecting an old thread but was wondering about the OP's question the other day.

My price (in Cdn) for 78k ISO is a bewildering $131.99.  I can typically earn slightly more than that in 2 days of steady gameplay.

So basically if I had no ISO and wanted to pay to champ a character the cost would look like this:

    2* = $126.12
    3* = $215.62
    4* = $640.31
    5* = $966.74

I mean if I'm trying to entice people to spend a little cash, this sure isn't an effective way of doing it.  So why are the prices so laughably high for ISO?  It has to be by design, right?  They've actually thought this through and decided this is the optimal pricing structure?

Is it a question of the long term health of the game?  Meaning that if ISO was cheap people would just buy a great roster and get bored more quickly and leave so they've priced it high.

Or is it to make us feel like the amount of ISO that we can earn by playing is actually incredibly generous when you put a dollar value on it?  "Look in 2 days you earned over $100 dollars worth of ISO!  What ISO shortage?"

    I'm genuinely perplexed.

Maybe I'm overthinking and it's simply as @Jarvind suggests, people are just bad with money and if you don't know any better you're more likely to make bad choices.  Heck, I've spent way more on HP than I care to admit.  ISO, though?  Never spent a penny and never will at current prices - and I'm ISO-starved!

It's when that 14th cover is wilting on the vine and you just can't quite get enough ISO to champ the character before it withers and falls off - that's when they get them on the ISO purchase.
