Stop playing for more than two weeks and you'll see what I mean.
"Here's the worst thing possible. Go do it." For someone called "Unity," you sure bring a lotta discord. icon_lol.gificon_e_biggrin.gif

The obvious solution is to get back on the wagon. Obvs.

    I tried but I can't tranny. /.\
  • Two moments with pre-nerf (both) Thor/C.Storm come to mind:

    1) Getting my Thor/C.Storm to 85 during one of the Thor tournaments where he was boosted like crazy and just crushing all the */low ** teams.

    2) During one of the heroics, Hawkeye was required as a third for the highest point mission. It seemed annoying until I realized I could bring the stock version of him and feed him to the enemy to power pre-nerf Raging Tempest. Next match he was back, ready for more icon_e_smile.gif. Good times.

My "biggest smile" moment happened one day on log-in. I'd collected 44 standard tokens, and when I opened Puzzle Quest (Android version) I discovered that 33 of them had magically transmogrified into Heroic tokens. I have no idea if there was a "silent lottery" and I won, or if it was a system glitch, or did Providence stoop down to save me? Who knows.

Was that by chance when they changed the cover prizes?
  • So as i am trying to avoid playing anymore of The Hunt, a couple of us very good looking and stylish Django's somehow started talking about our early days with the game and our best memories.

It took me a long time to get into this game and enjoy it but i think the moment i started having fun with it was when i got IronMan leveled up too a massive 50. I was like "muhahaha i am the master, now you shall all be defeated by my ULTRA FREON BEAM. It only takes 19 blue, pewpewpewpew I WIN."

That was the moment that got me hooked and i owe it all to my precious IronMan. I am deeply sorry i sold you though, but we can still be friends.

Then this forum has made me laugh constantly and i have met some great people here who are all awesome in their own way, heck even you Klingsor.Thats another reason why i stay and enjoy the game. Now if you must excuse me,these onions are making my eyes water.

So what was your first WOW MOMENT?

My wow moment was in forums, when i read walkyourpath's description of his strategy of winning elite. I was like "that is proper hardcore!"
  • First wow moment : coming in #1 and winning the first brand new character MOONSTONE!

First tinykitty moment : 30 minutes later, discovering Moonstone is absolutely ****, and that I wasted my weekend over a tinykitty Moonstone
  • No wait.....
The first WOW moment was on the 3rd day after the game launched when I amazingly pulled a Spidey. Blue cover

First tinykitty moment : realizing I needed another 50 covers before it would be any use

    Those were the days.......
  • Winning my first villain lightning round when they were actually super competitive.
  • When I finally got Thor decently covered and said goodbye to my old trusty IM35. It felt so good to be out of the newbie zone and I(literally) ran around showing off my shiny Thor to friends who don't even play MPQ.
  • To be quite honest, just discovering the game was a blast because I always get absolutely addicted to match-3 games. That and Marvel? I was thrilled.

But my first actual in-game "wow" moment was when I got both mStorm and mWidow decently leveled/got enough covers and I could go on entire matches without the enemy team making a move. That was insanely fun. I keep remembering those days and laughing to myself when there's a 1* tourney.

When I entered my first PVP, which was the first one star tournament. My newbie but fully covered one star team strolled in and laid waste while all the veterans at that time were complaining they just sold all their one stars to fuel ISO to level Thorvarine!

Promptly got slaughtered in the very next PVP by all those Thorvarine teams...
  • My first wow moment was during the first hunt event with pre nerfed environmental tiles I had used modern Hawkeye and could fire off 5 or so critical tiles if I could manage to crit on the environment first. Then of course they promptly nerfed it shortly after I had dumped iso in Hawkeye icon_e_confused.gif

I stun locked a 230 prenerfed Ragnarok, moonstone, flamethrower node in the first running of Hulk to place second in the sub event. After dying to that node 5 or 6 times. Turn 2 Godlike Power. And turns 3, 4 and 5, too.

One that sticks out for me is managing to snag second place in a tournament for GSBW covers back before first place also gave you the prizes from the next rank down. So if you got first place, you only got a 4* cover. The last few minutes of the tournament was a frantic rush by myself and the other player to check our place in the leaderboards and if needed, entering and retreating from a match to lose a few points -- but not too many points. It was crazy. Shortly after D3 changed it so that first place also got the second place prizes.

First time I got first place in PVP and earned three Spidey covers and an IW. Wanted that healing so bad.
