No Information on Nissa, as weirdly usual

In one of the most puzzling aspects of this game, there is another offer for a planeswalker without any information given. I think D3 has gotten a little bit better in providing information but this still baffles me.

1. PWs are one of the most exciting aspects of the game so highlighting them (instead of hiding) would generate excitement.
2. Why would I pay 49,99 for a Schroedinger's cat?

Every time a new PW is released, it's the same problem. Someone from the community has to take the bullet and provide everyone else with information that the company should have provided naturally.

@Brigby Any insight into why this policy is applied would be helpful. As it is, it seems like you want to lure players into buying something where they don't know if they actually want it. Please, provide us with some answers.

It's been possible the whole time to get a glimpse at what she does in the Planeswalker menu (just check the show all box at the bottom right)

It only shows her at level 1, but:

First ability gives the first card in your hand mana, then gives mana to every card in your hand without cycling. This will always be a solid ability.

Second ability gives cycling to every card in your hand without cycling.

Third ability gives you mana and buffs your creatures every time you cycle a card

I bought her and have started leveling her up, but only got to level 46 before running out of runes. Her mana gains so far aren't great, but I suspect will be better once I have her higher. Currently she's got:
    white: -1
    blue: +3
    black: 0
    red: -1
    green: +4

So, I figured you can find the info here:

Maybe I was too blind. But I still think it is undersold. Why no announcement on the forum for example?

hmm sounds interesting, still have a good while before this block ends this mechanic, and longer still before it rotates out so viable for a good long time i think. looks good been saving for a kiora but may just risk it and get her instead

I still haven't seen green only cycle cards that are really amazing?  Maybe there are some mythics I haven't seen but I think that's the biggest hindrance to a mono green PW?

    Shefet Monitor is pretty nice.

I can see this Nissa being a decent PW for a cycling deck, although without viable life gain & disable options, she will have a tough time with the more difficult PvE matchups.

For my money, I'd go with Kiora. Her abilities are all very solid, and she's not tied to a mechanic, like so many of these recent walkers seem to be.

Dissenter's Deliverance is a great green card to either cast if you need to or cycle if you don't need it. So far I've built her  with green creatures her third ability can buff (Scaled Behemoth is a favorite because it's hexproof and can't be targeted by Cast Out) and blue cycling plus Sphinx's Tutelage.

just got her, since i have been saving for kiora.
    stats at 60 are
    life 115
    creatures 5 total
    spells 6 total
    supports 5 total
mana gains + 3 blue, +4 green rest zero extra

    Abilities

Harness: the first card in your hand gains 3 mana then each card in your hand gains 1 mana
Shed:each non cycling card in your hand gains cycling 1
Aspire: create a support token with "when you cycle a card, each card in your hand gains 2 mana and each creature you control get +4/+4

She's not mono green but blue-green.

Considering that, she seems powerful for what she does. Cycling is good enough as it is. But it is another PW restricted to its block. And because its multicolor, she will cost at least 600 crystals. Not sure yet.

Apologies for any confusion regarding this sudden appearance of a new Planeswalker. The lack of information available on the forum is my fault as I am currently amidst the process of crafting up a more efficient system of acquiring information and presenting it here.

I anticipate this will be much more fluid and on-time for whenever a next Planeswalker is introduced. Having said that though, please find the official announcement for Nissa, Steward of Elements HERE

played with it a bit seems good honestly but last ability is glitched or doesnt say all it does. used it and everytime i cycled all my cards got 2 mana cycling cards and non cycling cards, without new perspectives on the board. so happy and pretty sure she will be useful for a while to come

Non-cycling cards will indeed gain mana when you have that support on the field. Definitely a powerful planeswalker, though looking at the loyalty required to get each ability I think she'll have a hard time once cycling rotates out of standard as her second and third abilities cost too much to ever see each other.

That said, getting 4 mana for your first card in hand and 1 mana on every other card is about on par with Kiora's ability to gain mana (although she doesn't deny your opponent mana) and she has better mana gains and a higher life total. It'll be interesting to see which one ends up on top.

And now the new Liliana is released under the radar once again. Thanks to @wereotter for the idea with the PW menu. But that still shouldn't be the first (or only?) available option.

I think there is no discusison neccessary: Wanna cycle? Nissa. Don't? Kiora. Overall, Nissa made me like cycling a bit more, since her ultimate ends the game quickly, and makes me think that a hybrid approach might be effective with her.

I just want to say: Lili can make Zombie - Vehicles.
