Yes, Platinum made my game experience worse
The first PvP matches I was in when I hit Platinum were just loathsome, honestly.
I think the main problem in Platinum is now I can only have a chance of winning with the PW's that I have the proper Mythicals for. That makes maybe three out of the 7 I have (Sarkhan, Lilliana LH, and Dovan (most times)) useful at any PvP event.

I'll totally agree that the PvE events are nice because of the increase in rewards for the same effort as before, but yeah, the Rishkar's Expertise kept going slowly further and further from my grasp, this last event, because the AI was ridiculous with the cascades and getting out the cards the player had in their deck. So yeah, it's a bittersweet change for me, currently.

So while I voted Yes, I could probably use a more neutral, "Meh, it has its ups and downs.." option, instead.

I should have stayed at Silver. Now every deck I face is chock-full of brutal mythics and I see a masterpiece at least once every few games.

In short: I'm getting pounded and the only way to keep up is by spending an awful lot of money.

I enjoyed moving up as to me the whole point of the game is improving your playing ability, how to build better decks, etc. I've seen a lot of how other players use their decks and have learned from that. I've been able to put together killer decks that way and I hope others who play against my decks feel the same way.

My only problem is Platinum is also home to all the whales who spend several thousands on the game to get every Mythical and now Masterpiece that they can get their hands on.

I'm only a causal spender but the epic cascades I see from Mythic winners from the events and those with all the cards they need to make even Nissa 1.0 a mean momma, is just crazy, sometimes.

At this point my only real defense is my Sarkhan, which I've had a lot of luck with. But that is also because Demolish, Grip and Slaughter, Anguished and Transgress keep most of the trouble under control and Behold' helps get me the step ahead that I need.

All my other PW's I'm still working on the best strategies for them, but the single color PW's I have, with the exception of Gideon, maybe, are very rough to play PvP with and expect a reasonable chance of winning.

If the question is "when you moved to Platinum, was it totally impossible to compete?" then, I'd say, "no."

If the question is "do you regret the time you lost playing the same Gideon Heroic Story mode several thousand times with total junk cards, when your life had so much potential?" then, I'd prefer a more neutral option.

Well, if you have all the good kill spells, most creatures become less threatening, of course.
But I hope that you can also imagine, that this is not true for everyone, who is in platinum.
And there it really boils down to the removals you have, if you don't have other stuff to deal with these threats.

having all the kills spells is not the answer, black has the cheap ones but all colors have one, the difference is how you play honestly, i get one and i assume someone has something nasty waiting for me so i start getting ready for them including scour the only really good one for green. dont always have one at the beginning so make do a cheap blocker can help buy you a round for a cheap creatures to nip at their heels, even spells to give a creature berserker so you wipe their destroyer. all help keep the board clean, and i find if they have nothing it is harder for them to kill you. so yeah my philosophy is don't let them get them out in the first place. some hands these will fall flat no matter what you do so learn to live with it and see that happened, try to improve your deck to keep it from happening more often.

I'm in platinum because the rewards are better, and for that its perfect.  Sure I went from being a top 50 player to a top 500 player, but I can still reliably get the progression rewards and contribute to my coalition (seriously, you need a perfect score to crack the top 100 now)

yep know what you mean in a tiny coalition only becasue it is with a freind i work with and got him into the game seems unfair to leave him and honestly i dont want to be forced to play to stay in a coalition. so i am happy with just piddling along no mytics but since they arent giving them out anymore the problem solved itself lol

Now the elite will eventually be Platinum by virtue of a rotating set of cards to play from. It would take some pretty specific planning to not accidentally master more cards.

Maybe they'll make a distinction between "regular Platinum" and "Super Duper Mega Platinum".

Been in platinum since November. The transition was rough but I don't regret it.  Rewards are better, decks are well thought out.

my freind is ok but honestly i have to help him build decks to win with so not sure both of us could make a decent coalition.
