This is a great concept. Give her a purple (it feels like it would be purple) ability that could function as a copy of an activated ability on the other side of the board. Limit the colors/AP costs/levels that could be copied, then relax those limits as Mystique's ability improved.

It's thematically problematic, as Mystique only copies people's appearances and not their abilities. Taskmaster copied fighting styles, didn't he? Maybe this would make more sense with him. Either way, it would be a very cool ability.

I got close to having the top 5, but apparently I'm only enough of a Spiderman fan to vote for Carnage and not enough of a Spiderman fan to vote for Doctor Octopus.

Was a toss-up for my real vote, though, between Sabretooth and Carnage. Went Sabretooth. Was surprised to see him with so many votes. Makes me happy.

I am seemingly the vox populi, having voted for Emma, Mystique (I love powerful women), Carnage and Doc Ock myself. But shamefully enough know next to nothing about Ultron besides the fact that Avengers 2 will be called "Era of Ultron" lol.

Neither I would put on the lvl of an immortal world destroyer, the big boss of the current movie avenger universe, and apocalypse who is basically god to Mr. Sinister's head acolyte. Ultron could be pretty cool game mechanic wise and while I hated Mr. Sinister as a kid (purple n pasty as a color scheme got a big laugh as did being koed constantly in the show my Cyclops) I've grown to love him sans some of his character design...and I would love him to be in it. If you can't have apocalypse due to OP, Mr. Sinister is a great sub as well.

Edit: actually, Onslaught could very easily just be 4**** Magneto (Onslaught).

If they do go the fought of throwing in op comic characters though, I would appreciate Onslaught.

More towards "hope summers" power mimic and enhance ability. Rogue only temporarily steal others mutant power.

Ultron is an unstoppable adamantium robot built by Hank Pym (aka Antman aka Yellowjacket). He'll probably be introduced in the upcoming Antman movie. Ultron also created The Vision IIRC and a a female robot called Jacosta, trying to clone the Wasp to have a mother (cause Wasp was Hank's wife at the time).

He is one of the bigger antagonists in the Avengers universe, so it's a pretty safe bet he'll show up eventually.

she did permanently absorb Ms Marvels powers but yes its mostly temporary. but as a game mechanic, she would only need to temporarily steal a power for the duration of the match which would make her a very versatile character.

Yup. But her opponent will become powerless after her absorption? Personnally i vote for "hope", since she is not in the story line. I vote for emma frost. New mechanic on her mind control and diamond shield would be awesome!

I'd assumed that the next roster would be based on the theme (e.g. Dark Reign has Dark Avengers villains...) rather than a random hodge-podge of fan favourites. Certainly it would make sense to me that a spidey / Sinister Six themed set of events would be round the corner - especially since so many Spidey villains are missing:

Necroing this thread.

In 2* characters, Human Torch has replaced Bagman. To my shame, 2* Johnny actually killed my entire team during the Deadpool event.

Yelena is the least popular 1* character. There needs to be fresh blood in the villains. I propose Yelena gets the Bagman treatment.

What potential 1* villains aren't already mentioned in this thread or poll? What new villains would be easy to make by reskinning an existing character? After Yelena, which 1* and 2* characters should be removed from tokens?

I voted Mystique and Emma Frost for three reasons.
1. We need more female representation.
2. We need more villains because I'd enjoy a PvP where we could pick a Villain or Hero side and face players of the opposite side. Also separate brackets (Hero's and Villains), some characters falling on both sides maybe like Deadpool (merc).
3. I'm still a bit miffed we haven't even got the entire Cabal for Dark Reign and Mystic was leader of the Dark X-Men for Christ's sake.
