Why can't I just ask you?0

There was an obvious need to stem the flow of mythics.
Ohboy, do us all a favor and show where that obvious need comes from. Use numbers not opinions. Because as far as I'm concerned that need is unproven, and only serves D3 to give less and sell more.
Secondly, referring to your links, there is a difference between slowing down the rate you acquire mythics and shrinking the group that acquires mythics. Your links are an example of tbe second.
Please dont muddy the discussion with your fallacies and produce some proof instead0 -

Because I'll say I always thought it was too much difference between first and second and no one will believe me.
After all, I'm only crusading against coalition rewards because I apparently can't qualify for one.0 -

It's not that no one will believe you, it's that no one will agree with you.0 -

Yeah, that's why I felt a mechanic that gave out 400-600 mythics a week was a bigger problem than one that gave out 15-20 a week.
Because it affected me personally. One that you guys have repeatedly stated I could fix easily by just joining another coalition. Sure.0 -

Quoted for emphasis, apparantly your crusade runs on sour grapes, not wantibg others to get something you arent willing to put ths same effort into.
Again, you keep stating that mythics in event rewards is bad for the game. PROVE IT!
I assume you cant or you would have done so allready.0 -
Ok back to the Droprates again
When it comes to droprates I really like the system of Hearthstone. There you can get legendarys wich is the equivalent to mythics.
When you open packs you get at least 1 mythic in 20 packs. So when you open packs the droprates of a mythic increases everytime until you reach the 100% with youre 20th pack. This way the players are moralized to open packs, cause they actually get mythics. And you are more motivated to spend money to get more packs to open.

Do you also get packs for free in Hearthstone?
But anyway, like Volrak said, a good way to limit the bad luck.0 -

Lots of things I loved about hearth stone more than mtgpq. Not sure why I made the switch, or why I'm still playing it. I think I do like combat mechanics more here. Arena-like drafting format would be all I would play.
Didn't forget about you Andrew. Deleted a lengthy post that basically screamed "because I warned everyone long ago these changes would be inevitable if free mythics kept getting dumped and no one listened, and now they're real and still no one's listening".
Sorry about not using sarcasm tags. I seem to have unintentionally baited you. Should research your insults in future though. Let's just say I put in at least as much effort in the game as you do.0 -
Please lock this thread I simply do not feel the need to explain myself!0

You can also slot up to 2 copies of a card excluding Legendary cards in your decks so you usually need to draw a second copy of a card or craft them. When you're only opening a 5-card pack every 2-3 days, that comes really slowly.
That said, the pity timer is still a good idea to help players who are experiencing the bad end of the RNG stick. It probably has to be implemented with a different limit though. Like I think it would be a good idea to have a separate pity timer for 5-card packs, super packs and premium packs. Or at least a pity timer for each combined set (BFZ+OGW, SOI + EM, KLD + AER).0 -

Is that the post you reported me for? I mean, honestly, it doesn't seem much worse than a lot of the other posts calling you out in this thread, does it. Do you just report everyone who disagrees with you?0 -
Regarding the removal of guaranteed mythics, I think their intent was to burn them down into Mana Jewels instead and spread the rewards a bit.
What they didn't expect, however, is that Mana Jewels end up being as dead a currency as crystals due to the fact that, once again, you are at the mercy of the RNG gods for obtaining anything of value. Since they water down the elite packs with trash mythics and dupes, jack up the proc rates of the trash mythics, all of a sudden those Elite packs don't hold much value anymore.
It's their own fault. The Elite packs are "so expensive" (based on the amount of time and/or money required to obtain them) that they should have instituted some type of guarantee that the player obtains something of value by opening the pack. Getting dupes and/or trash mythics hold no value, so basically there is a good chance that you get nothing. Unacceptable.
Now, if Elite packs guaranteed something, or allowed the player to choose 1 card from a selection of 3 random choices, then all of a sudden the Mana Jewels regain their intended value and there will be less complaints that the top scores in events are awarded a small pile of jewels. (Note: The amount of Jewels should be adjusted depending on how the Elite pack rewards are adjusted).0 -

Warning everybody long ago etc... is not a reason. Let me write your argument out for you: "Taking away mythics from event rewards is good for the game because I warned everyone long ago these changes would be inevitable"
See how logical that sounds?
As far as baiting me? nah i'm just calling your fallacies out for what they are.
And as far as me insulting you? point out the insult why don't you.....0 -
