By crikey, these things are ugly.

errr...what color is this card? if it is black, ob has a new bff.

It's blue. You can tell by the flashes of blue around the card border. Also the blue mana symbols at the top of the card, although they have chosen not to make those blue.

The UI/UX team at D3 are already planning some blue-based changes to this card.

Lies. Everything's going to become a boring shade of beige, and you know it.

Time to return cards to their pre-Mirrodin days!

Its not that bad. If people can stomach the masterpiece borders for KLD they certainly should be able to stomach this.

I find it very hard to discern the name, mana cost, and type. In a game that traditionally does an excellent job with a clean design/display, I'm shocked this was ever made. It's similar to when your coworker gets ahold of Microsoft Word and decides to use the "interesting" fonts for professional signage and winds up creating a schlocky mess.

Graphic design. It's not as easy as it looks.

It genuinely took me time to realize this was the English version of the card and not, as I first suspected, Korean, Japanese or some such actual featural language rather than an implied featural character set.

They picked a theme and boy are they running with it!

Looks like someone confused Magic with Yugioh.

I am looking forward to see how Nicol translates to the game/changes it
  • Seems to me that if they put Bolas in the game they'd need to **** his mana gains because he has access to everything.

Because ancient Egypt was such an original Yugioh idea... icon_e_wink.gif

I wonder if they'll skip Bolas like they did with Tamiyo

thanks. i feel so noob for missing the mana symbols representing casting cost on the card.

I don't know if you saw the original article about it from Wizards, but here it is:

Can't wait because then getting rares will make sense for some time.

Now I have almost all KLD/AER rares but few mythics, the last big nerf made it extra hard to get more mythics so the game became completely unrewarding - I got only 1 new card since the last big bad update, despite playing a lot.
