Let it also be known that our alliance is also made up of players that are F2P - it can be done and still have a great roster. Also, beating it this early isn't completely about roster strength because we cleared it before scaling went out of control. It's a matter of all 20 players hitting optimal clears and a little math to get ourselves extra hits on Ultron.

Thanks for the positive posts and questions!

Regarding play level with a higher roster - it's about playing PVP against others that are equal level, as well as helping the lower rosters get easier points when our members and other top PVP players in other alliances grill out those cupcake teams for the rest of the masses icon_e_smile.gif

Casual players have no real concept of how much game resources a crazy vet can earn f2p. icon_e_smile.gif

What I find most impressive is, according to the leader board, they did it with only 19 members.

We had 20 people, people were moving in and out fire end of events. It wouldn't be possible to end it this quick with only 19.

Ah, then it was only a slightly superhuman achievement.

It's weird the way the leader board works...

Just out of curiosity, why do you still play with a roster like that? Aren't you bored? What else is left to accomplish?

This isn't my backhanded way of insulting you. Im genuinely asking, because I think I'd have gotten bored.

Trying out new characters is fun. My roster is no where close to others, and with the way mmr works, I'm constantly pitted against teams around my level or higher. So it's always a struggle. But most of all, without our rosters climbing and grilling cupcakes, most others would never get p progression in pvp.

Do you ever worry about or have you ever been auto sandboxed having those kinds of resources on hand? I'd constantly be nervous like I was hiding prison contraband. icon_e_confused.gif

I'd almost rather have his iso than his cp or hp. icon_eek.gif Congrats, my alliance is a bunch of filth casuals and the best we've ever managed is beating round 6.
Ha. That's maybe 2-3 weeks worth of iso if you play any decent amount of time. That amount of CP is... more than 3 weeks.

Kinda agree. Anyone can do it this quickly with maxed out 5*s, try doing it with 3*s and 4*s like the normal people. icon_e_wink.gif

I've just hit max progression while only using Hulkbuster/Cyclops/Iron Fist and our alliance will finish in a few hours. Now that I'm proud of. icon_e_biggrin.gif

I don't get the dislike for big buyers. The game needs to make money to stay open (the developers and staff need to be paid after all), and The more money others put in the less I have to contribute.
I say this as a mostly free-to-play player. Not part of a big alliance, but I have a strong roster I built myself. I have more free time than free money and used that to my advantage. Others prefer the money path, and there's nothing wrong with that.

With this kind of roster boss node is easy... but the side nodes are hell. Trust me, fighting waves of level 400+ Ultron sentries isn't much fun.

    Good job Jedi.
Love these events for the alliance focused game aspect.

D3...might not be a bad idea to run these more often.

Kinda where I am, not that I mind
I'll get my Red Starlord Cover and be happy as far as Alliance goes
might reach max personal progression as I did with Galactus but I missed part of the first round because of my work hours

I wouldn't worry about missing stuff in the earliest rounds since they have far less points available anyway, also it isn't that tough to miss the first couple of rounds if the rest of your alliance is reasonably eager to start.

    Well done Jedi!!

I do not get this resentment either for guys who support the game. Nobody supports the game no game.

that's called supporting the game financially

    thanks doods!
I tried doing some math on that amount of CP and my head exploded
That would "buyers club" numbers. People join alliances temporarily and all pay at least $100 in the store. Thus, each member gets at least 140 CP. mega whales have supported this game with thousands of dollars, keeping it very much alive. The ISO amount is about three weeks of dedicated play. I'll be saying goodbye to that much ISO myself soon on one or two Legendary who are almost ready to Champ. Loving the Wasp change, so she won't be a waste once I get another blue.

Just want to comment here in particular.

While they do give an influx of money to the game, they don't keep it alive so much as they do keep the game as is.

Before shutting down the game would actually have to attempt to do things to keep players happy, but if there's a somewhat constant influx of $, there is little reason to change things too drastically in fear of the people who might spend there money elsewhere instead.

The idea that they're the only ones keeping the game alive is interesting, especially now that they have ads, even if they are only voluntary for now.

While I understand the scaling for high 4's and 5's are bad,

These threads always kinda fight that idea.

As you go further up the teams that weaker alliances rely on become less effective, thus significantly reducing their clear time, if they can clear at all.

But alliances with stronger rosters finish with time to spare.

The hate posts are pathetic. Since when is supporting something financially you enjoy a bad thing?

Scaling only hurts them on the sub missions. The boss, on the other hand, is much easier to deal with, and they can opt for the strategies that work for other players, unlike Kaecilius. And Boss Rush scaled too, didn't it? I imagine it feels great to greet a boss that gave you trouble before and show it what real power is.
