Goes Boom

From level 60 to level 356 and we are a day in.

You guys know there are levels between those two numbers right?

These should barely be in a boss event to begin with, but the timed scaling on them punishes alliance members with weaker rosters who have actual life obligations.

This game makes some weird choices.

Come on, you know you have to be punished for getting the privilege of obtaining 3 4* covers. I am surprised they didn't make it impossible. Don't you know these virtual currencies are worth way more then gold could ever dream of being worth.

Really wish we could get some clarification why this happens. All it does is hurt the little guy and decrease overall player participation. Top alliances already are either finished or on the last rounds, so what is the logic behind blocking small alliances and developing players from being able to reach and complete the final rounds?

Because heaven forbid players get 3 starlord covers and an LT that may give them one 5 star hawkeye? It's just baffling and comes at time where those blocked off players are very unhappy with the way this game is handled.

The excessive scaling of the gatekeeper nodes always seems so stupid on these events, they contribute very little towards your overall total compared with the boss fight, so why not cap them at a much lower level, especially since this event has no second half for the faster guilds to switch onto unlike civil war.

I wish they would do scaling for side nodes based off of the round instead of the time.

    For example:
Round 1, goons are level 15-30.

By round 5, the goons are 50-175, depending on your roster strength.

Round 7, the goons are 100-300,

And in round 8, 150-400 or whatever the highest it goes for the champed 5s are.

But to see goon levels jump by 6x after 24hrs, is ridiculous. Time-based scaling doesn't make sense for anyone.

And not just any 4* but a highly sought out Vaulted 4*

Has anyone done the crazy scaled wave nodes yet? Just wondering if each wave is crazy scaled or half the scaling since it's *TWO* WAVES OF SENTRIES.

Oh hey, here's the obligatory "What the heck happened!?" scaling complaint thread every time a boss event shows up.

And hoo boy did I just make that sound incredibly dismissive of TC.
I'm actually more generally frustrated that regardless of how many boss events we have the same damn scaling issue crops up every time.

Can we, got goodness sake, have a more gentle curve with scaling over time? A boss event should not exclude a huge chunk of the playerbase (that is, people unable to consistently take out 9000HP goons on an event without many strong AoE characters boosted) after only 24 hours.

This topic gets made with every boss event. Not because we're whining, but because we're sick of having to tell the developers every damn time "The jump is too high too fast."

Can you hear me, guys? The jump is too high, too fast. And it has been since bosses were created.

Yep, it happened to me too. Lv 300 all of a sudden. I'm scared to think about what tomorrow and the next day will bring.

The really sad part is the proposed SCL-based scaling wouldn't even fix this most likely since it doesn't use SCL.

The floggings will continue until morale improves.

    Hi Everyone
Please believe me I know what you're saying. And my roster is not a power house.
But come on all Boss event's are this way. No I don't think it's right but that's MPQ.
Why do people always complain about stuff that is always the same. Dang.
I am in round 7 and I don't care if Sentry or Goons if you have a decent roster no problem. Yes might cost you a few health packs but what event doesn't!
I have lost against Ultron twice rd 7 not totally but it's still a loss. I am just
Happy for all the good changes that have happened since I have been playing.
It's just a game! Enjoy it have fun don't stress yourself about things that you can't change. Learn from it. It's so much easier. Let the pitchforks begin lol.
    Have a great weekend everyone

This is exactly why we complain... because it's always the same! If it frustrated players the first time, why keep it rolling exactly the same every time? You're rarely going to receive different results if they keep doing the same thing.

Because that complaining whilst not always dealt with often does get dealt with eventually maybe not to everyone's satisfaction but let's see some complaints and fixes:

We hate boss rush - not run since the original
Galactus is broken - Galactus got nerfed somewhat
Ultron is a joke with bombs and matching tiles - ultron no longer matches tiles
Kaleiccus (can't recall how he's spelt so apologies) is too damn broken - still hard but here are more tiles for you to destroy

That's just some boss stuff that has been severely complained about and fixed.

Add in complaints about characters (not all fixed but a healthy number of terrible characters so far). PvE rubber banding etc etc.

The developers do a great job of fixing issues even if we aren't satisfied haha. But boss events come up so infrequently the noise on them is larger in the hope it gets heard and fixed before another one in three months with the same issues.

Try using Luke Cage. Your damage will go to almost zero. Add Loki and cascades won't be so bad.

The side events go from hitting a baseball off a batting tee to having Noah Syndergaard throwing 100+ mph at our head... with nothing in between. That's what it feels like.

This is incredible, really incredible. How is this possible, scaling goes up 300 **** levels in one clear!!!!

In every boss event we complain about this, last time progression was slightly better, we get Ultron after some time, and Bam! scaling is broken again. Man I am out of words, this is a big FAIL. After just one day all fun from this event is just gone.

The scaling jump has been this way since they started boss events. This is no surprise.

For me, I would have little to no problem with this scaling design if they would GET RID OF THE STUPID WAVE NODES!!!

On a side note - the green Sentries are garbage, and any node with multiples of them are garbage as well.

I am really happy the pitchforks have not came out yet. But seriously these
Events are not hard. To be honest I wish all pve events was locked in.
I don't care if another alliance is better. Good for them. The bottom
Line is to have fun in a game you enjoy. People complain about all the alliances that swap at the end of an event bring mercs in pushing you out of top. I am not against mercing because I have done it. But if all events are locked. Then I feel it
Would benefit all alliances in the long run and not cause so much Drama.
I know everyone wants to play and have a good time earn rewards. We all do.
So lock the events in. Your best in first. The rest in another. When they improve they can move up. But not before another event. Anyways that's my thoughts.
Less trouble for commander's and more fun for everyone.
