Muscle Muscle Juggy wiped my Champed 5* Phoenix Champed 4* Cyc Champed 4* X23 on the 4th clear the other day, I didn't bother to try again for 4th/5th/6th.
Of course....some just reply to that I needed multiple champed 5*'s.....
Agree that Muscle goons can get ridiculous quickly.
But the broader issue is the underlying one....SCALING itself gets to ridiculous to quickly. There are so many characters, at this point the game should consider your top 10 instead of your top 3-5. Or even better, just ignore all your 5*'s for scaling measures.0 -
Yeah... scaling at the high end is ridiculous for 5* players. I did enjoy playing the heroic with my high level 4* champs and scaling wasn't even that bad even though I had a few 400+ 4* with their boosts. It's like it goes from manageable to instakill if you make a mistake or get a bad board after 3 clears.0

Yeah. Muscles are still annoying and can get real bad real fast. Even under lv100, their blue can hit your team with 2k+ AOE. That's just sick.
They're a bit more managaeable for me now with a plethora of PVE specialist characters available and levelled up. Still.0 -

Antman, Moonstone, Bulls3y3, Elektra...
Many options. IF and Doom or Cap Marv3l to gen Black for Moonstone works. SW to gen purple for Elektra or Bullseye works. IM40 with Ant-Man.
Something in the game has to be hard.0 -

First run of this event in a long time I haven't spewed vitriol at A Tree Groots in New York.
Seriously, that's the biggest thing I'd like to see come out of the fix to the variable AP power bug. Not that Juggernaut needs to be 10 green/10 red (though I wouldn't complain), but that he's far less OP/annoying to fight when the AI version isn't able to spam red/green every stinkin' turn.0 -
I nearly got wiped on the 2* Hawkeye node.
Scattered yellows and blues, couldn't match anything away, only olours were useless...by the time I quit to save my health there was +5800~ damage on that board. On the 2* node.
The Juggernaut and two Muscles one was only completable once I went Gwen/Antman/IM40. I just prayed I got 9 blue quick enough and that Juggernaut didn't have a miracle Unstoppable Crack that wiped out my countdown timers (which he frequently did). Ended up flipping the 1300-per-strike-tile tiles and using it against them.
That first day took so long to beat I didn't actually manage to complete the run, I left the yellow required nodes uncompleted. Everything took so long and I ran out of health packs.
It's a shame, because I like the second and third sub events for R&G's PvE. They're way more fun and relaxing. The first day though badly needs reworking.0 -
I used 3* Strange, Ant-Man and Blade.

I find it's usually better just to quit on a match than stick around for one of the countdowns to go off. At least then my characters will be ready to go again sooner than if they got hammered.0

Thanks for this tip. It ended up getting me through the nodes. I'd had Magneto set up to maximize his red damage, but the board control is more important in this case.
Overall, I'm inclined to agree that Muscles deal too much damage, particularly considering that they're nameless goons. On the other hand, some percent of the complaints always will be "I brought a team that specialized in dealing damage, and that didn't work, QED, this is unfair." It is actually nice to have enemies where I might have to think of a strategy slightly deeper than that to win.0 -

OBW (even non-broken) has always been the help. Use someone that adds blue/purple to help.0 -

Trust me that node gets worse with more 5*s championed not better - there are more options in the 4* tier to counteract that node than there are in the 5* tier and once full 5* scaling kicks in unless you have that 4* championed and then boosted up above about lvl 425 you can't take them with you.
Championing more 5*s was the answer when scaling topped at 325 - now its just a short cut to ruining your game play in PVE0 -
Octopus black power works fine on all gem-attack based enemy0
