For LR number crunchers
A few weeks ago, I noticed that I got almost exclusively 1 rewards after each LR bout. So I started to make some notes on the last 11 LR and this is the result:

Each line is a complete LR run (so 48 hours period)

Am I reading this correctly? Are you saying you play up to and over 200 battles each lightning round? I'm so lazy and just play the seeds (when available), otherwise it's only 2-3 battles.0

Maybe this is per day? Or per week? Seems like a lot any way you slice it. Lately with LR's I do the seeds and stop, even if there are only three seeds.0 -
And if OP roster is up to date it's even more impressive without the maxed 5*. And not all rewards are covers - there is ISO and (I think) boosts as well....
So how many battles per LR you win (not only play)? 300? 400? In 90 minutes? So one fight every 18 seconds (or one per 13,5s).

I haven't kept any numbers, but this week's have been awful. 1 and it was iso, not a cover0

Sorry, mixed up 2 columns when I copied my info over, I have amended this now .
I do between 100 and 170 LR bouts every week since I started keeping track as I want as much info as possible... and as many covers as possible0 -

Thanks for those links, not sure why I didn't see them when I searched the forums for similar topics.
Hadn't made the link between Hero/Villain week and the drop rate. I'll add that to my spreadsheet and see how it works out.0 -
Number Crunchers - how are your statistics on this heroic round of LRs?
I don't keep detailed stats. The 2nd LR this time around I pulled 7 2* Wolv in a row!! After that and doing seed teams in I think about 13 of the LRS in total this run I have got precisely 1 other 2*.
I'd thought with this being a Heroic run that the % would creep back up, however my 2* farm has stalled. Is others experience matching this?0 -
Along with standards, I pulled almost no 2s. Definitely feels different recently.0

This week's LR yielded 9 covers after 110 battles, I actually got better rewards from the 12 Standard tokens I won
So, not a good week, but still better than last week (2 covers from 146 battles).
Also, added these numbers to my OP.0 -
This week I was feeling like I wasn't getting many 2* covers (didn't track exact numbers) and then I had five fights in a row that gave me a Moonstone Red cover. Weird.0

Less lazy than me. I think I've played at max 3 lightning rounds in my almost 1 year playing.0 -
They were really down for me this time. Anecdotal evidence would indicate that the 2* rate has dropped, but I'll crunch the hard numbers.
This time I tracked 63 fights and got the following:
26 70 Iso (41.3%
12 140 ISO (19.0%
0 250 ISO
21 1* (33.3%)
4 2* (6.3%)
Out of my untracked fights I got two more 2*s, not enough to really contradict the above. There were probably 10-20 of those. By contract, in the Heroic LRs I have gotten in the past anywhere from 14% to 20%. Villian LRs generally score from 1.5% to 2%.
I dunno, numbers seem all over the place for me, but certainly they don't look good.0 -

Champing pretty much marks the firm time when we could felt the rate changed of 2 from standards.
I personally feel like elites had their 3 rate changed at one point as well, but not the topic at hand0 -
Had I known that there were weeks where the 2* cover rate was 20%-50% I would definitely been running LR's more often.
What type of player and roster do LR's make the most sense for? PvP players mostly, where LR's fill in times between the main Vs?
Not really for PvE players that are already grinding their life away, who also dabble in low progression PvP?
Mostly 3* rosters? Or do 4* and higher rosters play these for easy iso mining?
I'll be curious to see if the lower drop rates is temporary and or confirmed with others / devs.0 -

The Devs never made a statement about the drop rates in PVP one way or another. All the data we have is gathered from the players. It seems to have fluctuated, but it's impossible to say for certain as the RNG is so damn random.
Let me give you a tip - if you are playing the game when the hour rolls around for the LRs (Odd hours for EST,) enter the LR as soon as you can. If you do, you will get enough seeds to get to 229 or possibly even 245 - I believe this is ten. It is great source of Iso, and will put you one real fight away from a second Standard token. If you do this every two hours, it adds up.
The Seeds will stay there as long as you don't close the game (or so long as it doesn't decide to reload itself, anyway.) So if you want decent placement, you can chew through the seeds in the last X minutes (depending on your roster,) hit one or two more players, and either shield or, hopefully, end the LR. I have a 4* roster with a few 5*s in the high 300s and I can frequently get one or two heroic tokens out of it. At least I do unless some 5* player decides to hit me at the last moment, which does happen.0 -

I get between 0/3/10 seeds when I join at the start. No idea why it's so different but one time I must have gotten 11 since I hit 260 points. My target is simply 100 points for the first ISO rewards. If there are more seeds to put me over, I'll do it otherwise I stop. Even if that second standard token is a battle away.0 -
I hit 8 lightning rds at the very beginning of each rd and strictly played the seed teams.so somewhere between 70 and 80 fights.zero two star covers and one 250 iso.this has become the norm for me the last few weeks.they definetly have decreased the drop rate.i play about the same amount of rds every weeks.i've gotten 5 two stars the last 4 weeks.i sometimes used to get that many in a round.0

I've definitely had far fewer than usual the past few weeks. I had one (maybe 2, but I think the second was from the standard token) this week, two last week and, if I'm remembering correctly, none the week before.
For the record, I never play beyond the seeds, but I play every round I'm not asleep and/or at work during.
I'm still hesitant to call it a rate change rather than a few weeks' bad luck, but it did seem to coincide with the introduction of XP to PvP.0
