Happened to me with a KLD big box too. Threw my makeup bag across the room. That bothered me. Just sharing because it's not just SOI. Problem is across the board.0

I can attest to that. Opened 2 SOI big boxes during this week. Did not get the gauranteed rare. Submitted a ticket. Its been 5 days and they have not bothered to even reply.0 -

Brigby, have you heard any update on this? Still haven't heard back from support on this issue, and I wouldn't want to buy another pack if the bug is still around.0 -
Got same problem with SOI bb. Only lone rider common was the rarity0

Thanks, I'll hold off on using my Big Boxes I have stored up until I know there is a fix.0 -
in my correspondence with them, they haven't mentioned a fix yet. but they did send a "guaranteed rare" pack. and I opened a brand new shiny Avacyn, so i couldn't be happier!

Please keep in mind that all Mana Crystals and Mana Runes credited to your account will be added directly to your account's currency totals. Other rewards, such as Booster Packs or Bundle Purchases, are sent to you through messages that can be claimed via through the Activity Hub. Any individual cards not received through a Purchase Bundle or accreditation for an Event Reward will be added directly into your inventory.

Is this still happening? Just bought a big box of SOI, new in the shop today, didn't see my guaranteed card come up. Counted all my cards on the 'Your New Card(s)' screen just to make sure I'd not missed it.... 70 cards, which is 14 boosters of 5 cards each.0

Same thing happened to me except I bought 4 boxes. Happened on all 4.0

Keep in mind that Kaladesh/AR does not have a guaranteed rare. Your bonus is the 14th pack which means one of the boosters is all AR cards. 70 cards total with one pack being all uncommon or better.0
