Drop Rates Fraud?

So we all know the story of drop rates being abysmal and people getting only the guaranteed rare, let me say that again GUARANTEED rare, from a big box. Except tonight when I finally gave in to temptation and bought an SOI big box, I did not even get that. I have a screenshot of every single card opened, taken from the "Your new card(s)." screen as evidence. The vault clearly states "Guaranteed Rare or Better". Fraud? Unfortunate bug? Do I even care anymore? All I know is I'm totally winning the "My drops are worse than yours" challenge.

That's odd. They implemented the guaranteed rare as a extra pack with only 1 rare inside. Did you not get that?

Simple ways to check if you got a new rare is to go to the card search tab and filter by rares, and non-mastered cards. If you don't see any new card there, can turn off the non mastered icon, and look to see if any of your rares have a 2x underneath. It's a bit tedious, but you may have missed it. It's happened to me before

That won't work if you get a dupe. I convert my dupes first and see what's being converted then I check new cards.

Just to be sure, did you get a mythic from the pack? The guaranteed rare can be replaced by a mythic, that's what they meant with guaranteed rare OR BETTER.

Nope, all commons and uncommons. No mythic. The game seemed to hang for a second when I thought I should be getting my guaranteed rare but then it just went to the "Your new card(s)" screen. If I got a rare, it should have shown up there. Then again, this game is riddled with bugs so I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow showed the 70 cards I saw opened and didn't show the guaranteed rare that I didn't see opened. Also, I never convert duplicates because what you get in return is an insult and I'd rather keep my 9 copies of Niblis of Frost. So no way to tell there.

I have raised a ticket when encountering similar issues in the past and received compensation. As long as you have the proof from the screenshot you should be fine.

huh, i had this same issue. i didn't think anything of it because i got 4 (all dupes, i must add) rares from the BB. i didn't get the guaranteed rare pack (the one with only a single rare).

Is it maybe because the BB bonus used to be the extra EMN pack? they removed that and forgot to add the rare pack?

Seeing as the 21 day monthly reward still says "To Do!", I'm guessing that's exactly what happened. They forgot to add the guaranteed rare to the big box. Or perhaps it's just a "visual display error" like the Quick Battle rewards that said you'd get Kaladesh when really you get SOI. It says guaranteed rare but that is just a visual display error when really you are guaranteed only disappointment.

I can confirm that there single card pack that gives you the guaranteed rare or better is not being given out in SOI big boxes. It just paused, and went straight to the "Your New Cards" list, just as the OP said.

Well hopefully this is easy enough for the Devs to duplicate. If they create a dummy account, give it 600 crystals, buy an SOI big box, and don't get the extra rare/mythic, then there is an issue. And then they can hopefully fix it, and somehow give an extra rare/mythic to everyone that purchased one of these. They should be able to see who has purchased one.

Versus myself, who opened two Rashmi, Eternities Crafters from a box, and I already had one prior to opening the box.

They've made adjustments when they were in error before - there was a red pack that was 1050 crystals but should have been 600. Purchasers were refunded the difference.

it is a fraud. i didn't receive my soi "guaranteed rare" either.

I suggest getting a screen recorder app like Mobizen, and turning it on before opening the pack. That way you can replay it to make sure, and you have a record if in fact you were ****.
