In the Era of OBW (OPW, amirite), worth leveling C Storm?

  • Spend ALL the ISO on standard token. This should bag a couple of valuable 3* covers which will help you towards that 3* transition.

P.S. I don't wholeheartedly support my own message but it is really fun to play the lottery. (Until you have no more ISO and you've won nothing - then it sucks)

P.S.2 I **** love C.Storm, so YES, go ahead and PUMP HER!!!

He's probably referring to cascades causing match-5/6/7 crits. I occasionally get hit by Raging Tempest this way.

That kind of a first-world problem though. It's not like Raging Tempest does that much damage if you didn't hit the 'all below 50%' mark. Taking 2 to kill Storm is quite acceptable and that's actually pretty hard to do even if you tried.
Agreed. Raging Tempest isn't a real threat if you target CStorm first. By the time you match-damage her to half-health, you've probably got enough AP for some sort of killing blow. On offense, though, I can see the AI triggering a meaningful Raging Tempest when 2-3 team members are below half-health. 1700-damage AoE is a nice late-game counter to a rogue cascade.

I've been known to use a "just let the flamethrower tile activate icon_twisted.gif " strategy on some of the "lvl 230 DA + 2 goons" nodes in PvE. Not sure how leveled cStorm has to be to survive the flamethrower, though

Yeah, I've never done it on purpose, but it's always amusing to watch a Pyro drop a grenade at his team's feet when he hits CStorm (esp. buffed CStorm in one of the recent-but-not-as-recent PvEs). If you're going up against L150+ goons, I'm guessing that you need at least L50-60 to reliably take a big hit.

I saw your thread extolling this casino-style depravity! My personal theory is that you're evangelizing this free-spending mindset with your guileless charm so as to weaken all other alliances. Well done, as I'm now tempted to throw good ISO after bad/bag.
  • Max OBW because there are only 2 characters in the game that can heal and that alone will make her valuable for a long long time. Storm is ok and featured in many different events but OBW is still a better investment up to 85. She's squishy as is so I wouldn't stop at 60 or 70 either. OBW's purple also can swing a battle 180 degrees and shouldn't be underestimated
