Placement rewards and progression covers

Has any link been established between the order of covers for top 10 finishes and what color ends up being the progression reward in the subsequent event for the 4* essential?

    So far the color displayed as the top 10 reward has always been the progession reward in the next event. That means red Deadpool cover for the next event.

    Awesome. The one color I can't use and the reason I'm deferring applying 3* Deadpool's 183rd champion level.

    Wait, hang on. In CL7, the red is top 5 and the black is top 10? Is CL8 different?

    CL8 has XFDP Red for top 10 for me.
    It would be great for others to confirm in their CL.

    You need to look at the rewards for CL8, the first cover you see for top10 will be the one that's awarded as progression
    next event (in this case it will be red).

    CL7, its the cover you can see as the reward for top5 (heh its red again).

    So far this has always been true, you can verify for yourself with the different event threads.

    Just to clarify the rewards: all found in the Event Threads:

    CL 8:
    icon_deadpool.pngpurpleflag.png + Previous
    icon_deadpool.pngpurpleflag.png + Previous
    icon_deadpool.pngredflag.pngblackflag.png

    CL 7:
    icon_deadpool.pngpurpleflag.png + Previous
    icon_deadpool.pngredflag.png + Previous
    icon_deadpool.pngblackflag.png

    It's both red and black in top 10 for 8, and only black in top 10 for 7.

    Its the first cover listed for CL8 top10 (the one you actually see in-game), it will be red.

    It is, in fact, red.

    So moving to the next event, top 10 for CL8 and top 5 for CL7 show Kingpin yellow; event after Brotherhood, Kingpin's yellow will be the progression cover?

    I said yuck Sentry but I will probably have to roster him since I'll be getting at least 2 covers plus the next progression ones.

    Any insight on which Strang3 cover is going to be in the progression at SCL 7/8 for the event after Unstable ISO-8? If it's blue, I'll be able to max-cover him. If it's yellow, I'll at least get him to 2/5/5 and could buy his 13th level with CP.

    If it's purple I'm going to cry.
