Yesterday I bought "Nahiri, the Harbinger" and I wanted to test her since I recently dropped "Deploy the Gatewatch" and "Archangel Avacyn". I used my runes to upgrade her to 57 level. After that I did some quick battles to test her. In the meantime I saw this topic and it gave me the idea of checking the fastest deck I could do. I played from ~10:00 AM yesterday to 8:00 PM today [34 hours in total (eating, sleeping, living included)] with different decks with different result but I set my goal to win in one or less minute. I don't know how many matches have I played and how many swear words used, but when I reach level 60 and maxed "Harbinger" I was a matter of few tries to do my goal.

    Finally I made it!!!

    Here is the proof: https://youtu.be/WyAHVQ-MJvs

Currently the leaderboard looks like this:

    1. ohboymtg.......2724
    2. Grizzo.............2376
    3. Daromax.........768
    4. cedric.............762
    5. Matthew.........754

    Conclusions:

    1. It is possible to win in less than a minute but I did it only once and with some luck by mindlessly matching the first red or white match I saw and tapping the screen to speed up animation. Usually it takes about 3-5 minutes (more if the board is nasty or there are clues or servos) so if I'm not wrong in my calculation the top player had to win for nearly 15,1 hours (3min/round, time between matches not included) to achieve this.

    2. The game works way better on an emulator (I used "Nox") so players using them have some advantage. I played mostly on my Galaxy Note 3 with recording in the background which slowed me down a little plus I had to set up recording before playing every match.

    3. I had two days off so I could afford to spend some time on the game but I can't imagine someone with "normal" life doing it.

    4. My eyes bleed and my nerves are fried - this is not the definition of fun.

    5. THIS IS TERRIBLY TERRIBLY UNFAIR - before "Nahiri, the Harbinger" I have been using "Liliana, the Last Hope" and the combo of "Diregraf Colossus", "From Under the Floorboards", "Prized Amalgam" and "Behold and Beyond" which is a really great deck, but it takes 15-20 min to win with it. Now I know that I don't compete with other players but with time icon_cry.gif .

    P.S

    Don't read
The problem is that asuming "ohboymtg" is "ohboy" from the board and he seems a nice person judging from the posts, otherwise I would say there is something fishy here like multi person playing or bot 8-) . Maybe he will tell us the secret.
    My deck:

    Battlefield Forge
    Deploy the Gatewatch
    Inner Struggle
    Vessel of Volatility
    Uncaged Fury
    Heron's Grace Champion
    Mirrorpool
    Goldnight Castigator
    Volcanic Rambler
    Abbot of Keral Keep

Umm I play a similar Liliana deck and win in 5 minutes or less, can't imagine how it takes you 15. I win in under 2 minutes with my nahiri build regularly. Look at Yunnn's zoo post in the strategy forum.

Yes, that was me and grizzo.

We started on the second bracket of the first day I think, and this is what happens when two players with too much time on a weekend both want to open a box of the new expansion(bait and switch BTW, it was soi) badly, but have decks of similar speed.

We pretty much paced each other to the finish line over the course of 3 days, and I only came out ahead because I assume grizzo wasn't as willing as I was to go to work the next day without sleep.

The real secret to winning a quick battle is to not start in the same bracket as a rival.

Yes, you are right, I exaggerated to much, but my point was to say that it takes much more time for some PW to win than for others because of the style of the decks.

Let's say that it takes Nahiri (lev 60) 2 min to win and Liliana (lev 60) 4 min. In that case it Nahiri needs 6,66h to get 1200 point and Liliana needs 13,3h even though both of them have great decks. For me it's really unfair.

And to be honest it's not even a problem of balance (even though "Harbinger" skill gives a huuuuge advantage). The problem is the animation - the difference in time is caused by slowly spawning many zombies.

Anyway, I would love to see someone other than Nahiri winning Quick Battle in one minute.

My problem with Nahiri is, that I don't have all the card it needs to make a good Zoo.dec.

Playing him a lot. Also Nissa which can be really fast too.

Would love to know what you're playing for Nissa. She's the one PW I can't seem to build a fast deck with.

Desolation Twin with Gather the Pack and/or Seek the Wilds. Whatever ramp you want to use. A removal and card draw are helpful also.

I just played 3 games in a row in QB with Nahiri (not the fastest ones, rather average form start screen to start screen). In total that took me 7 min 50 secs. So average 2,5 - 3 min per battle seemes to be correct.
